L.A. Dodgers Yasiel Puig

Arrested Again

For Reckless Driving

12/28/2013 3:40 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

L.A. Dodgers
star Yasiel Puig has something in common with one of the fastest pitchers ever -- they both reach speeds of 110 miles per hour.  The only difference ... the pitcher gets in the Hall of Fame and Puig gets arrested.

Yasiel was pulled over this morning in Collier County, Florida.  Cops say they clocked him at 110 in a 70 MPH zone.  He was arrested for reckless driving and taken to the local jail.

This is Puig's second arrest this year for the same offense.  He was arrested in April for going twice the speed limit.

12/29 -- The L.A. Dodgers tell TMZ Sports, "We have spoken to Yasiel and made it clear that we, as an organization, are very disappointed in his recent behavior."

The team adds, "This is a very serious issue to us and we will continue to educate him and strive to further develop his growth off the field and as a member of this community."

What the hell is wrong with the Dodger team? First, KPig linked to Kemp, now this. Management needs to step in and teach their players right from wrong.

This needs some context. The story says this happened on Alligator Alley. For those unfamiliar, it's part of I-75 that's flat, straight, has exits dozens of miles apart, and the sides are fenced off to reduce the chance of animals being in the way. The flow of traffic is routinely 80-90mph, and speeding is epidemic. They use planes and lines painted on the road sometimes, because radar detectors can pick up cops miles away with the terrain.

Collier County SO uses this as a pure revenue generating measure. They routinely set up shop with a plane in the sky and 10-20 squad cars all issuing one ticket after another. 110 is nothing there. The cops must have had some other reason. Could be something he said, could be racism.. but something else went on. I've been ticketed at 101 and 120 on the same stretch, and I doubt even if they got me when I was (fairly often) going 150 it would have been an arrest.

How long before he ends up killing some innocent driver?. When you have an arrogant uneducated thug this is how his career will end. My advice to the Dodgers is to dump him back in the ocean and let him swim back to Where he came from.
