Philip Seymour Hoffman

Planning for Long Heroin Binge

2/3/2014 12:30 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

Philip Seymour Hoffman
was clearly prepping to use heroin for the long haul before he died, because we now know ... cops found approximately 50 heroin bags in the NYC apartment.

Law enforcement sources initially put the number of bags at 10 ... but now we know the number is 5 times that.  Our sources say a number of the bags were full ... along with a number of unused needles.  The upshot ... Hoffman was ready for a heroin binge.

This makes the story about a possible drug deal at an ATM Saturday night even more interesting ... if Hoffman purchased a large quantity of heroin.

I've never posted until now. Dear Mr Hoffman, thank you for your talents. Hollywood died with you. I'm not sure why it is: the good ones go first. The Biz is rotten. Spoiled by dumb reality shows. I'm starting to think there will be more deaths of Hollywood stars in the immediate future. It's crap. And now you're gone.

See the problem with you TMZ, is that you don't have a clue the background of what you're talking about. Most Heroin Addicts are DEPENDENT on heroin and use AT LEAST 10 bags per day. So he bought enough drugs to last him 5 days TOPS. That's not a binge, that is just buying in bulk to save money and time. Also, leave the poor man alone. Your report about him being at a bar 3 days before he died is just in poor taste. Heroin addictions is an epidemic and DISEASE and the NorthEast has been plagued by tainted/EXTREMELY strong heroin since the start of 2014. Let the family and PSH have peace.

boo boo

Give the addicts a pass for abandoning children, premature death and bad behavior because "unless you're an addict, you don't know what it's like". Meanwhile us responsible types will still be here alive to mop up your messes. You probably did someone somewhere a favor.

I wish he knew he deserved better.

50 bags? Perhaps Hoffman was a dealer, as well as a junkie. Wonder how he will be lauded by his peers if it is found that he was a supplier and contributed to ruining the lives of others. Stand up fella.

How would the stars act if the paps weren't do***enting their behavior? Keep the light shining on them, TMZ.

Sadly for every Celeb we lose to addiction, there are countless others we never hear about that loose to it every day. Clearly current rehab methods aren't working. Something needs to change.

Obviously he was well stocked for a Super Bowl party. Imagine his embarrassment if he ran short and had to leave the party midway during the proceedings to get more.

I really have no sympathy for people who have everything and throw it away for drugs.

Very sad and pathetic. I feel sorry for his kids. They'll have to live with this the rest of their lives.

I feel so bad for Philips family.. obviously he was trying to depress emotions.. alot of people have no clue what this means. Total depression, trying to hide from life, ignoring everthing, & everyone, around him. So sad, and may GOD wrap his loving arms around his family, and help them along this terrible tragedy...
