Lisa Vanderpump

On Brink of Quitting 'Real Housewives'

Andy Cohen to the Rescue

5/27/2014 10:49 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Lisa Vanderpump Quitting Real Housewives of Beverly HillsLisa Vanderpump has had it with "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" -- but executive producer Andy Cohen is fighting tooth and nail to keep her ... using Lance Bass as his secret weapon.

Sources close to production tell TMZ, Andy and Lance double teamed Lisa at her Beverly Hills restaurant PUMP over the weekend in a last ditch effort to get her to come back for the next season of RHOBH ... disguising their attack as a casual dinner date.

We're told Lisa -- who's already killing it on Bravo with her other show "Vanderpump Rules" -- has not re-upped her RHOBH contract and has told Andy she's fed up with the show ... specifically because she felt extremely bullied by the other women last season. See below.

According to sources, Cohen is extremely nervous about losing Vanderpump -- a big player on RHOBH -- and spent most of their dinner trying to convince her to stay ... it's unclear if Lisa has changed her mind. We're told Andy used Lance because he knows Lisa and Lance are good friends.

We're told the other housewives have also not signed on for the next season yet -- but clearly Andy is already playing favorites.

Lisa exudes Beverly Hills and provides the gorgeous scenery for the show with her house and style and all but otherwise than that her story line is boring.... The whole cast is sooo boring.. They need Camille back . Beverly Hills and New Jersey are the 2 most boring snoozefest of the franchise

Why would anyone bother to fight to keep anyone on this show? They are all involved for attention and self-promotion. If any of them doesn't want to be on the show, there are a horde of BH wannabes that would gladly take their place.

I can understand why she wants to leave the show. With her new place, PUMP, in WeHo, she has to stand guard to make sure average-looking people don't get in.

No news here. She is craftily playing hard to get in order to secure more $ and a spin off show for her newly opened gay bar, Pump. These women hate missing out on the limelight and come filming time, she'll be back with a better contract and another spin off.

What's the difference between this...

And Travis Stork doing a Crest commercial.

As a "doctor" advising us on "good oral hygiene."

It wouldn't be RHOBH without Lisa. She needs to stay on. It would be a major bummer if she left.

If she comes back, you can be assured that the bullying will increase...at the instigation of the very people trying to get her to stay on. Why? Because they now know she is about to crack...and if that happens on the air it will make great TV...at least for the pathetic losers that watch the show to begin with.

Lisa can leave, for all I care! If she's so upper crust, why did she agree to do a reality show to begin with? Maybe more a facade of wealth, than real wealth? And Lisa's a terrible friend, promoting Scheana the tramp, and dismissing the feelings of her "friend" Brandi.

For me a more-interesting reality show would be one in the TMZ news-room.

Everyone coming at Harvey.

Trying to use him, use TMZ and to self-promote.

If Harvey turns THIS one down - he risks upsetting that one, etc.

Paranoia is always a strong story line.

Also very funny.

The phone rings, you know who it is and what they want -

You don't want to give it to them -

But you don't wanna TELL them you don't wanna give it to them.

Cuz then they'll want you to explain why.

Given the fact you approved doing the very same thing, and for a lesser person/friend.

Just put a camera on Harvey's visor and back.
