'Real Housewife' Sonja Morgan

French Villa Goes Au Revoir

In Bankruptcy Case

6/17/2014 12:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0616-sonja-morgan-house-tmz-02Sonja Morgan better learn how to say "broke as a joke" in French -- she just lost her fabulous St. Tropez villa in her bankruptcy case ... and a bunch of pigs nearly screwed the deal.

The trustee in her longstanding bankruptcy sold off the Riviera vacay spot for $5.7 million, according to court docs obtained by TMZ.

The "Real Housewives of New York" star has been telling people SHE was selling to be financially responsible, but truth is the court-appointed trustee sold it ... and Sonja had no say in the deal.

Sonja had said she was listing it for $8 million -- but the trustee sold it for much less, partly because the place wasn't easy to unload. According to the docs, the trustee ran into several issues ... including wild boars destroying the landscaping back in January.

French wild pigs, dude. Zut alors!

She comes across as being totally classless on RHONY. Drinks too much, flaunts her private parts, just disgusting.

People trying to look richer than they are. Pathetic.

Even Bravo was too cheap to film there.

Sonja is the Queen of Denial.

That giant house at the bottom is Derek Jeters, and I gpt no problem with people having nice things, but building a $40 million home at sea level isn't right.

Everyone on the upper side plays the insurance game and wins, everyone else loses.

He ought to be paying at least $million a year to insure it, and I bet it ain't even close.

Multiple that by a few thousand and that is the disaster waiting to happen here.

Too many houses built too close to the water and an area with serious hurricane apathy, as Tampa Bay hasn't had a DIRECT hit since 1925.

Everyone thinks they've gone through one and survived, we've had stuff come close, and people think that is it.

Shouldn't be allowed to build like this, will break the bank when it all goes bad....

Well written article. Precise and to the point. She tried to kill the sale of this french house last year to the same buyer and because she is not in control of anything but only the Trustee . It was sold. Now 4 offers were received on NY townhouse and price reduced to sell now.
She still has a decent shot at her ex husband on divorce case. He is incapable of paying for child support and alimony. These people are the supposed NY blue blood.
Flush them like ****.
