'Ghostbusters' Theme School Teachers Ain't Afraid to Rock ... Score Record Deal

7/23/2016 12:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

The three elementary school teachers who reworked the "Ghostbusters" theme for the new movie are about to get some green dumped on them, but it's not slime.

No Small Children -- drummer Nicola Berlinsky, singer Joanie Pimentel and her sister/guitarist Lisa -- just scored a deal with RCA for their punk rock overhaul, which plays during the film credits.

It's an amazing story ... the 3 decided to start NSC 4 years ago during recess at their North Hollywood school. Last Halloween, they dressed up as Ghostbusters and played their version of the theme song during a club gig. They decided to record it and got it to the film's composer, Teddy Shapiro, whose kid happens to be a student at their 9 to 5.

NSC didn't think they had a shot after hearing big-name musicians were also up for the gig, but got the call ... GHOSTBUSTERS!

Check out the video ... the trio's going places, and hiring!!! But don't worry kids, they'll be back with a syllabus in the fall.

EXCLUSIVE

0719_Willard_Huyck_home_launchScreenwriting duo and real-life couple Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz are proof words have great worth ... they're selling their Brentwood home for $15.9 million!

Willard and Gloria were Hollywood all-stars in the '70s and '80s ... with film credits that include "American Graffiti" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." They also worked on the 'Star Wars' franchise.

The home's around 5,200 square feet, but the steep price is more about acreage ... 1.45 in the pricey Mandeville Canyon area of West L.A.

The couple is repped by Cindy Ambuehl at The Agency.

Feet are a well-known fetish of the legendary director -- but his 'KB' shoes still aren't as cool as the pair he wore for his cement print at the Chinese Theatre.

Leslie Jones Twitter Bans One of Her 'Trolls' ... Internet Outraged

7/20/2016 9:43 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0719-leslie-jones-milo-instagram-twitter-01Leslie Jones is in the middle of a social media uproar after Twitter shut down the writer Leslie blames for touching off a storm of racist hate against her.

Milo Yiannopoulos -- a tech editor for the conservative news site Breitbart -- got banned after Leslie went back and forth with him and his followers over a very mean review Milo wrote about "Ghostbusters." We say "mean" because he called Leslie ... "worthy of a minstrel show."

Leslie's exchange with Milo and her followers included several trolls comparing her to a gorilla.

Leslie begged Twitter to step in, and Wednesday morning it apparently did -- but #FreeMilo is now trending because many users think his First Amendment rights are being violated.

Milo spoke about the ban at a Gays for Trump rally in Cleveland.

The movie's currently in production ... though Lifetime's yet to set a release date.

0715-roy-nelson-instagramWe're told Nelson plays a prisoner who's training for some kind of death match. He joins a cast stacked with real life athletes including Mike TysonGeorges St-PierreFabricio Werdum and Ronaldinho.

It ain't too common to see someone pimp out a pair of rare $6,000 Nike Air Mags -- but Washington Redskins defensive end Ricky Jean-Francois did just that ... and TMZ Sports has the pic.

The kicks -- more commonly known as the "Back to the Future" shoes -- are hot commodities in the sneakerhead community ... but Ricky wanted to do something special with his pair.

So, he brought 'em to Dez Customz and Kreative Customs -- who spent 50 hours lacing up the sneaks with some custom Marty McFly inspired art ... complete with Doc and the legendary DeLorean.

The artists had plenty of space to work -- considering Ricky rocks a size 15 shoe!!

Fun Fact -- British rapper Tinie Tempah once paid $37,000 for a pair of Air Mags!

Tupac Movie Derailed by Blind Ambitionz

7/16/2016 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0715-demetrius-shipp-jr-daz-dillinger-instagram-tmz-01Tupac's biopic is in mortal danger ... because of a feud between a rapper and a publishing giant.

Rapper Daz Dillinger claims he holds the rights to the track "Ambitionz Az a Ridah" ... prominently featured in the "All Eyez on Me" movie. But Daz claims BMG publishing house begs to differ, insisting only it can green light the song for the flick. Thus, there's now a standoff.

The movie release has been pushed from September to November ... we're told so Daz and BMG can resolve the conflict.

This is the latest in a series of nasty legal battles between Daz and BMG. The rapper sued BMG back in April, claiming the company owes him more than $75k in royalties.

For it's part ... BMG says Daz's beef is really with eOne, the music licensing company that controls rights on the song. BMG says it merely collects royalties on eOne's behalf.

Tara Reid vs. Jenny McCarthy Epic Trash Talk Over Boobs & Bad Surgery

7/15/2016 2:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

Jenny McCarthy and Tara Reid went off on each other -- live on the air -- when a 'Sharknado' promotion turned into a battle royale over fake boobs and gnarly plastic surgeries.

The showdown happened on Jenny's SiriusXM show Friday, and when she asked Tara if she had to get in shape for her role in 'Sharknado 4' ... things got nasty quickly. You gotta hear it.

Tara tells TMZ she "totally felt so bullied and attacked. It was very unprofessional." She says there's no history of bad blood with Jenny, but feels like "she just wanted to hurt my feelings and say things that would bother me."

Well, that definitely happened. The final dig as Tara walks out is awesome.

And this was no on-air stunt ... Tara says, "She definitely didn't apologize" after the attempted interview.

Scott Eastwood So Fast, So Furious on Miami Beach

7/15/2016 3:02 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0715-scott-eastwood-beach-workout-PCN-01Scott Eastwood can't stay out of hot water.

Eastwood's down in Miami shooting 'Fast 8' and made the most of a break from filming by taking a dip in the ocean during a break.

He came out dripping head to toe, but kept his shades bone dry. That's good living when your sunglasses are too expensive to be touched by water.

Kanye West, Damon Dash Off the Hook In 'Loisaidas' Movie Lawsuit

7/14/2016 4:41 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Breaking News

Kanye West and Damon Dash didn't tarnish a Latin singing group's name by promoting murder, violence and drug sales in a movie collaboration ... at least that's what a judge ruled.

TMZ broke the story ... West and Dash were sued last year by a member of Loisaidas, a group that's been around since 2008. Member Michael Medina said the rap duo tarnished Loisaidas' brand after they released a movie in 2015 with the exact same name.

However, a judge disagreed ... and on Thursday dismissed the suit. The reasoning? ... "Loisaidas," which refers to Manhattan's Lower East Side, is fair game considering that's where the film took place and had nothing to do with the singing group.

We think we know what won't be in Medina's Netflix queue.
