Robert Griffin III's amazing rookie season ended with a horrific knee injury, but the
Washington Redskins' superhuman QB looks ready for action again -- and claims he'll be even BETTER next year.
RGIII -- who showed no signs of a limp last night outside of Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills -- said he's "feeling good" and brushed off the injury ... reminding us the torn ACL he suffered in college was way worse.
When our camera guy pumped up RGIII telling him he'd be just as good this coming season -- Griffin shot back, "I'll be better."
Also, you gotta check out the clip for his favorite sports movie. We'll give him a pass ... and say it's a generational thing.

Andrew Luck has the better record ...
Robert Griffin III has the flash ... but when it comes to the NFL Rookie of the Year award, it's like "Highlander" ... there can be only one.
So, who deserves it? We ran into Indianapolis Colts superstar
Dwight Freeney on the streets of NYC yesterday ... and though you might expect him to lean a certain way, he told us, "Both of those guys ... too much talent ... those guys have too much talent."

Of course, he also noted that Luck is "Amazing" ... duh.
So, we gotta ask ...

He's one the most elite athletes in the world ... his body is a friggin' temple ... and that's why we're kinda shocked by what
Robert Griffin III had for breakfast AND lunch yesterday ... hours before the draft.
We ran into RG3 on the streets of NYC, just a short time before he was drafted 2nd overall by the
Washington Redskins ... and after he told us about his deliciously unhealthy breakfast ... dude carried a pizza box back to his hotel room.
And THAT is how you win over the
Hogettes ... (also, winning doesn't hurt).
8:02 AM PST -- Our sources at Red Stone Pizza in Manhattan tells us they "believe" RG3 ordered a pepperoni pizza ... PEPPERONI!!!
Andrew Luck and
Robert Griffin III -- Mr. #1 and Mr. #2 in the
NFL draft -- gave TMZ a preview of their passing skills ... but it was Mr.#22,
Brandon Weeden who really impressed. Go ...
Browns?

Robert Griffin III is getting some serious protection off the field from his father -- who's demanding potential sports agents back off his
Heisman Trophy winning son while he decides if he's jumping to the NFL.
Sources close to RG3's family tell TMZ, RG2 (aka Dad) has decided any agents who contact his son directly will be out of the running to sign him ... and thereby, screwed out of a future multi-million dollar commission.
We're told Dad wants all the agents to contact him -- leaving RG3 alone to focus on next week's Alamo Bowl, and his Master's degree. Believe it or not, some reps are playing ball -- we're told Dad's talking to 5 big-time agents ... just in case RG3 goes pro.
As for that big decision -- our source says Griffin is stressed about it, and far from a lock to go pro ... partially because he doesn't want to "let people down" at Baylor.
Is this kid perfect, or what?

You'd think Baylor king
Robert Griffin III would go wild after winning the Heisman Trophy this weekend in NYC -- but TMZ has learned, the star QB went straight to Ground Zero instead ... to pay his respects.
Griffin family sources tell TMZ, RG3 and several close family members made a beeline from the Best Buy Theater to the 9/11 memorial on Saturday. According to sources, the Griffins are a military family -- and Robert felt it was important to visit Ground Zero for some somber reflection.
We're told the Griffins spent a couple of hours at the memorial ... before heading downtown for a quick shopping excursion.
After the emotional tribute and the intimate family bonding time ... RG3 finally took off in his limo to party with fellow Heisman candidates
Trent Richardson,
Andrew Luck,
Montee Ball, and
Tyrann Mathieu.
