Ryan Jenkins -- the reality show contestant who killed himself after he was accused of brutally murdering his wife -- was mocked ruthlessly on Halloween with a display featuring the actual coat rack he used to hang himself.

Sometime last month, the coat rack was removed from the Thunderbird Motel room where Jenkins hanged himself, after the room's new occupant complained that the rack creeped him out and he couldn't sleep.
The manager gave the rack to a friend of his -- a friend who decided it was the perfect decoration for his Halloween party.
The friend labeled the rack as "Ryan Jenkins' Last Stop" and we're told, shockingly, it was a huge hit at the party ... with several people taking morbid photos with it like it was the Lincoln Memorial.
FYI -- For those of you with an eye for detail, that IS the same air freshener hanging from the rack in both pics.
So the question remains...

The Canadian company that allegedly did a half-ass background check on convicted girlfriend-beater and accused wife-murderer Ryan Jenkins for the show "Megan Wants a Millionaire" is now being sued for letting him slip through the cracks.

In the lawsuit, filed by an investigative agency called Collective Intelligence, the agency says it was hired by the producers of "Megan" to perform criminal background checks on the show's possible contestants.
Since Jenkins was Canadian, Collective hired a Canadian company called Straightline International to do Jenkins' background check up north. Straightline allegedly told Collective that Jenkins was in the clear -- but in fact, he had been convicted of domestic assault on a girlfriend in 2007.
After "Megan" hit the airwaves, Jenkins allegedly murdered and dismembered his wife Jasmine Fiore -- and VH1 was forced to cancel the rest of the season, along with another show starring Ryan called "I Love Money 3."
In the suit, filed in Illinois, Collective claims its reputation has been ruined by the Jenkins fiasco, and is suing Straightline for breach of contract, negligence and fraud ... and wants at least $50,000.
Straightline has yet to get back to us.

Jasmine Fiore's friends and family gathered at a ranch in Santa Cruz, CA on Sunday -- and the private ceremony was decorated with a bunch of old photos of the former model.

Ryan Jenkins was sued by BMW for over $12,000 -- and the lawsuit was filed only days before he hanged himself in a Canadian hotel.
According to docs filed in Edmonton, Alberta on August 20, Jenkins was leasing a 2007 BMW 335xi -- but stopped making payments on it in March 2009.
BMW says the vehicle was returned to them -- but Jenkins still needed to fork over $12,750.76 for the lease, plus interest.
The BMW he was getting sued over is not the same one used to flee to Canada.
