Heather Locklear is currently hospitalized in California after coming down with a bacterial infection ... TMZ has learned.
Locklear's rep confirms ... the actress is now on antibiotics and will be released from the hospital later today.
Heather had just returned from Canada, where she finished shooting a movie called, "He Loves Me."
