Rainn Wilson Drops Vine Criminal From TV Show
Rainn Wilson has just 86'd a controversial Vine star he signed to a TV deal earlier this week ... after getting trashed online for hiring a criminal.
TMZ broke the story ... Curtis Lepore pled no contest to felony assault after he was initially charged with raping his ex-girlfriend and fellow Viner, Jessi Smiles.
Rainn chose Curtis as 1 of 5 Vine stars whose lives would be chronicled on his upcoming show "Hollywood and Vine."
But relentless online outrage forced Rainn folded like a cheap suit in the wake of online outrage ... and his company kicked Curtis to the curb, although Rainn called it a mutual breakup.
But it's not all bad news for Lepor ... under the terms of his plea deal his charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor for assault if he completes 24 days of community service AND a year of counseling.
