TMZ Sports spoke with LeSean McCoy's attorney, Larry Krasner -- who says the NFL running back did NOT say he "made a mistake" during an encounter with a Philadelphia media outlet Wednesday night.
Krasner says what McCoy actually said was ... 'I'll make a statement sooner than later."
Krasner says he understands why the reporter at the scene may have misheard McCoy -- but wants to be clear the running back is NOT admitting any guilt or involvement in the Sunday morning brawl.
