RJ Mitte is being remembered by his family and friends in Texas, days after his tragic death.
The "Breaking Bad" star's sister Lacianne Carriere took to the podium during Friday's celebration of life and rightfully got incredibly emotional ... while talking about how great a brother she was to her, especially after her mother got into a terrible accident.
Speaking at Mitte Cultural District, the family’s organization in Brownsville, Texas, Lacianne stressed that everything she loves is because of RJ ... and reminded those struggling to seek help.
Lacianne appeared to shed tears several times while sitting in the front row with her family at the celebration of life.
Author M.J. Dougherty -- a close friend of RJ's for over a decade -- was one of many to share a few words about the late actor ... telling a sweet story about RJ taking time at a recent movie premiere to help a man struggling to roll up the red carpet outside, despite RJ being a star of the flick.
We’re told a private funeral is in the works and will take place in the near future.
As TMZ first reported, the "Breaking Bad" star died by suicide on October 12 at his Texas home.
