Rod Wave found himself in a jail cell this week -- this after cops arrested him on a firearm charge ... even though his attorneys are calling BS.

The rapper was booked into Manatee County Jail Wednesday on two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon -- and he posed for a mug shot on his way in. The exact circumstances that led to RW's bust are still unclear at this point.

In any case -- his attorneys, Bradford Cohen and Mark Rankin, tell us ... "The officers that made the arrest are incorrect. He is not a convicted felon and has never been a convicted felon. We would have hoped additional research would have been done prior to them filing these charges."

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been officially hit with a criminal charge for allegedly driving drunk earlier this year ... Texas prosecutors just indicted him for felony DWI.

According to court records, Mahomes Sr. was slapped with the count -- driving while intoxicated third or more -- on Thursday.

If convicted, he'll face up to 10 years behind bars ... as well as a fine of up to $10,000.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard isn't hooking up with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, despite getting matching tattoos with him -- but he does have her best interest at heart -- much more so than her husband ... so says Ken's mom anyway.

Raina Williams tells TMZ that Ken recently flew from his home in Texas to go hang out with Gypsy in Louisiana amid her ongoing separation from Ryan Anderson -- and the reason, we're told, is because he wanted to be there for support ... and serve as a rock for GRB.

Ken's mother says he told her he'd always be there for her, and even though they're not together anymore ... we're told Ken felt compelled to be with Gypsy during this hard time.

Courtney Clenney was in a panic and asking officers if her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, was dead after she'd stabbed him ... now seen in newly-released body cam footage.

The video was just released by authorities in Miami, and it shows the moment officers arrived at their apartment in April 2022 -- only to find Clenney bloodied and freaking out ... with one officer telling her to calm down and to stay seated.

Clenney is seen as clear as day here, and she's asking for them to check on Christian ... repeatedly wondering if he's dead or not.

Connor Smith -- a former MTV star from 2015's "Are You the One?" -- has been arrested in Florida for allegedly trying to hook up with an underage girl ... bringing a year-long manhunt to an end.

The 33-year-old was booked into custody Thursday afternoon, according to an inmate log from Pinellas County, Florida -- following reported sightings of him from the Sunshine State.

The ex-reality show contestant had been wanted in the state of Illinois since February 2023 ... where the Lake County Sheriff's Office said he interacted with an undercover detective online for weeks, thinking the cop was a 15-year-old girl.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is going away for a long time ... the judge hit him with a 25-year sentence for scamming customers and investors in his federal cryptocurrency fraud case.

Judge Lewis Kaplan handed down the hefty sentence Thursday in Manhattan, and although he didn't order restitution -- due to the large number of victims impacted by SBF's biz -- the judge did order a forfeiture of more than $11 billion.

Explaining the lengthy sentence and fine, Judge Kaplan said ... "This man will be in a position to do something very bad in the future, and it’s not a trivial risk.”

WSVN 7News obtained body cam footage that shows 25-year-old Brendan Paul being led away by police officers Monday from the Opa Locka Executive Airport and placed into a cruiser, where a cop buckled him into the backseat.

As you can see, Paul was compliant and silent as they took him to jail ... not saying much, and not being asked much either. Before they throw him in the car, they pat him down.
