Matthew Perry's death has, publicly, been considered an open and shut case -- but, as far as the authorities go, they're still digging into how he got one particular drug ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us there is an ongoing investigation into where Matthew got the ketamine that ended up playing a part in his death -- and the main questions are who provided the drug, and under what circumstances.

Our sources say both local police and the DEA have been looking into this matter for months, but it's unclear where exactly investigators are in the probe.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Britney's mental health has been in a tailspin since the conservatorship ended. They say she often is not taking the meds that stabilize her, and she is drinking and using various drugs which is especially dangerous, because she has substance abuse problems that sent her to rehab multiple times.

We're told Britney has radical mood swings and often goes into rages that end in physical violence. There are times we're told it's impossible to communicate with her because she can't engage in rational conversation.

Even more drama for the Kansas City Chiefs ... as two players -- Chukwuebuka Godrick and Wanya Morris -- were arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession in Kansas.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the offensive linemen were booked for the same charge early Friday morning ... and were released after posting a $2,500 bond.

23-year-old Morris is a former third-round pick out of Tennessee and Oklahoma ... suiting up for 14 games during the Chiefs' Super Bowl-winning season in 2023-24.

Diddy's alleged mule, Brendan Paul, struck a good deal in his drug case -- 'cause he ain't gonna be doing any time behind bars ... TMZ has learned.

Brendan's attorney, Brian Bieber, tells us ... "Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety."

A rep for the Miami-Dade State Attorney confirms this as well, telling TMZ ... this was a standard offer to a non-violent defendant with no priors -- who was arrested for a possession case instead of a much more serious trafficking case.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Annapolis PD responded to Kyle's apartment complex on April 14 after one of her parents had called 911 to request a welfare check for their daughter ... this was after not hearing from her for a few days.

Her father, Robert, told police he'd last spoken to Kyle on April 8 -- whereas her mother, Jacquie, said she hadn't talked to Kyle in months. Either way ... Kyle's mom said she was alarmed about a certain video Kyle posted on April 4 -- although the exact reasoning for that is unclear.
