Two men got into an old-school sword duel down in the Dominican Republic ... and one poor guy lost a hand in the vicious fight, video taken by eyewitnesses shows.

The crazy battle went down Tuesday in San Pedro de Macorís -- a small town on the southern part of the island -- and the footage of this altercation is absolutely unbelievable ... seriously looking like something straight out of a movie.

The two combatants face offer outside a gas station, with machetes and swinging -- steel slashing against steel on the sidewalk. They exchange wild hacks, and, at first, it seems like one man may have the advantage as he forces his opponent to the ground.

Ring announcer Dan Hennessey is putting down his mic for good ... he says he's done with the gig after he was dragged for declaring the wrong winner at a big fight last weekend in Australia.

The blunder happened on May 11 at the RAC Arena in Perth ... just after Cherneka Johnson and Nina Hughes went toe-to-toe against each other for 10 rounds with the WBA bantamweight belt on the line.

Hennessey read the three judges' scorecards ... but, he said Hughes won -- when the real winner was actually Cherneka.

Elwood Dalton is back -- Jake Gyllenhaal is slated to star in a sequel to the super-successful "Road House" reboot ... with Prime Video announcing the project on Tuesday.

The confirmation comes less than two months after the reimagining of the 1989 cult classic hit the streaming service ... but really, it should come as no surprise.

Middlewieight boxer Sherif Lawal has passed away after collapsing in the ring following a knockout punch in his professional debut in the UK.

He was only 29 years old.

Lawal's first pro fight went down Sunday at the Harrow Leisure Centre in London ... where he faced Portuguese fighter Malam Varela (2-4).

Eric Wynalda -- a former soccer star for the U.S. Men's National Team -- has been named in a battery report involving a teenager ... but we're hearing he's calling BS on the claims.

Per a Vegas police report, obtained by TMZ, Wynalda -- who was coaching his son's club team in a recent tournament -- allegedly exchanged words with a player on the other team ... who claimed to cops that Wynalda called him a "bitch," insulted his mom and more.

The player told police he and the coach got face-to-face and he (meaning the kid) ended up shoving the coach ... which led to a fight breaking out between the two sides. The teenager alleges he got scratched amid all this ... but said he wasn't sure if it was EW or the players.

"Big Brother" star Christmas Abbott is no longer seeking protection from her ex, Memphis Garrett ... but the ex-couple will still keep their distance from each other, TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell us ... Christmas has voluntarily dismissed her petition seeking a restraining order against Memphis ... this after she made claims of domestic violence against him back in March.

We're told the reality TV star moved forward with this decision after Memphis agreed to a no-contact arrangement. While it might seem like they're all good ... they're anything but.

It's official -- Conor McGregor is now in the knucklin' business ... putting pen to paper on his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships ownership papers!!

Rashee Rice has been accused of hitting a photographer so hard in the face during an altercation outside of a Texas nightclub earlier this week, he left the man with swelling on his jaw ... this according to new police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports.

Dallas Police Dept. officers wrote in the docs the incident took place at around 2 AM on Monday at Lit Kitchen in Dallas ... after the photog said he and Rice had been at the hot spot for "an after hours party."

Cops say in the docs the grapher told authorities he had left the venue in his car, but returned a short time later after Rice sent him a message that indicated the Chiefs star might want to hire him.

Ric Flair is sharing regret over losing his cool at a Gainesville pizza joint over the weekend ... saying he should've just walked right out the minute things got heated.

The Dallas Police Dept. would not confirm to TMZ Sports Rice's alleged involvement in the matter ... although it did say detectives are looking into a reported assault that occurred near the establishment at around 2:30 AM Monday.

Unclear what exactly led up to this, but as you can see ... a larger man is hovering on the outskirts of the action, and as the dude in the hat gets riled up, he blasts him in the face.
