Whitney Houston will be laid to rest in the plot right next to her father's grave at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey ... multiple Houston family sources tell TMZ.

According to Whitney's official death certificate, Houston will be buried Saturday at Fairview ... and sources tell TMZ, the decision was made because Whitney WANTED to be laid to rest next to her dad.

Whitney Houston's official death certificate has been filed in L.A. County -- and according to the document, obtained by TMZ, the cause of death is still undetermined.

The manner of death is listed as "pending investigation" -- and the immediate cause of death is "deferred."

Whitney's occupation is listed on the document as an "entertainer" who worked in the industry for 33 years -- beginning when she was just 15.

According to the document, Whitney will be laid to rest on Saturday at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ -- the same cemetery where her father is buried.

As we previously reported, the L.A. County Coroner's office is awaiting toxicology results in order to determine an official cause of death -- a process that typically takes 4-6 weeks. The autopsy was completed Sunday.

TMZ broke the story ... Whitney drank heavily the night before her death -- and investigators found multiple prescription drugs inside her hotel room, including Xanax and Amoxicillin.

As we first reported, Whitney's family was told by the L.A. County Coroner's office ... Whitney likely died from a deadly combination of alcohol and prescription drugs -- NOT drowning.

Whitney Houston was heavy into alcohol in the months before her death, and many of the people around her bent over backwards to accommodate her cravings for alcohol.

Sources who spent significant time with Whitney in the last few months tell us ... Whitney drank virtually every day leading up to her death.

We're told when she started shooting the movie "Sparkle" she was sober. In fact, Whitney's voice, we're told, was "phenomenal" and she would boast to people, "My voice is back!"

But after principal shooting, when Whitney went into the studio to dub various lines, we're told she was off the wagon.

We're told Whitney's immediate family -- and Bobby Brown -- became "extremely upset" because they believed the singer's friends were more than happy to accommodate her drinking whims whenever she wanted, even though it was apparent she had lost control.

As TMZ first reported, Whitney's family says authorities told them ... she may have died from a reaction to prescription drugs and alcohol. We know she drank alcohol shortly before her death, and we're told she typically took Xanax -- one of the drugs found in her room -- before a performance to calm her nerves, and she was scheduled to sing at Clive Davis' Grammy party.

The L.A. County Coroner wants to get to the bottom of Whitney Houston's medical and pharmaceutical history -- obtaining subpoenas to get the singer's medical and drug records from her doctors.

According to Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, it's not out of the ordinary to request such records.

As TMZ reported, there were a half-dozen Rx bottles in the hotel room where Whitney died, including prescriptions for Xanax, Amoxicillin and ibuprofen. There was also a bottle of Midol, but nothing excessive or unusual.

Whitney Houston told friends she "really wanted to see Jesus" in the days before her death ... and claimed she had a feeling the end was near for her ... this according to several of Whitney's friends.

TMZ has learned ... Whitney had been very spiritual in her final days ... quoting the bible, singing hymns and engaging in intense conversations about Jesus Christ and the afterlife with her close friends and family members.

We're told .... on Friday , one day after she performed, "Yes Jesus Loves Me" at Tru nightclub in Hollywood, Whitney told one of her friends, "I'm gonna go see Jesus ... I want to see Jesus."

The next morning, hours before her death, Whitney was discussing a bible passage involving John the Baptist and Jesus ... when Houston flashed a big smile and remarked, "You know, he's so cool ... I really want to see that Jesus."

Another source tells us ... Whitney had been telling friends she "felt like her time was coming" ... and wanted to make sure she spent her time praising her lord and savior whenever she could.

Unfortunately, Whitney's premonition came true.

We're told the bible passages Whitney was quoting on the morning of her death were Matthew 3:13 through 17 ... referencing the baptism of Jesus. The passage goes:

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Bobby Brown is "extremely disappointed" after hearing that several members of Whitney Houston's family do not want him to attend the singer's funeral ... sources tell TMZ.

Sources close to Bobby tell us ... people connected to the Houston family have reached out to Bobby to warn him that he shouldn't attempt to attend the funeral because the family isn't fond of him.

However ... we're told Bobby has not received any OFFICIAL word from the family about his invite status.

Sources tell us ... Bobby WANTS to attend the funeral so he can support his daughter Bobbi Kristina, but he hasn't decided on a plan of action yet.

Just three days before her untimely death, Whitney Houston was photographed relaxing poolside at the Beverly Hilton on Wednesday.

While you can see a beverage of some sort at Houston's side, it is unclear if it contained alcohol. As we previously reported, Whitney had been seen partying at the Hilton in the days leading up to her death on Saturday.

Bobby Brown still hasn't seen his daughter -- THREE days after Whitney Houston's death -- and he thinks Whitney's family ... specifically, Cissy Houston, is throwing up the road block.

Sources close to Bobby tell us he hasn't connected with Bobbi Kristina since arriving in L.A. Sunday night -- despite placing several phone calls and making an attempt to physically see her ... early this morning.

We're told Brown was turned away by Whitney's family and friends ... who are caring for BK at a home in the Los Angeles area.

According to our sources, Bobby is angry and frustrated because he only came to L.A. to care for 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina after she was hospitalized twice.

As for why he's blaming Whitney's mom for the freeze out -- we're told Brown thinks Cissy has hated him for years.

It's only been 3 days since Whitney Houston died in room 434 at the Beverly Hilton hotel ... but TMZ has learned ... the room has already been RE-OCCUPIED.

A hotel reservations agent tells TMZ, room 434 is officially back in rotation -- and someone is staying in it right now.

According to the rep, the room has become a prize for the macabre-obsessed -- we're told the agents are getting flooded with requests for the death room.

But don't count on getting in there any time soon ... we're told the room -- which rents for no less than $375/night -- is booked for the "foreseeable future." The rep wouldn't give the next available date.

There will be NO public memorial service for Whitney Houston at the 18,000-seat Prudential Center in Newark, NJ ... because Whitney's family didn't want one -- this according to the City Mayor Cory Booker.

A rep for the Mayor's office tells TMZ, "The Houston family has no plans to set up a public viewing at the Prudential Center this Friday" -- despite several reports claiming there was going to be a massive public ceremony ... in addition to previously-scheduled private funeral arrangements.

The rep claims the family specifically asked the city NOT to plan a memorial event -- adding, "In compliance with the family’s wishes the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony."

Whitney Houston's funeral service will take place in the very same New Jersey church where Houston used to sing as a child ... and TMZ has learned there WILL be a guest list.

The service will take place Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark ... where Whitney honed her skills singing with her mother Cissy Houston and her cousin Dionne Warwick.

Sources tell TMZ ... the family wants to keep the event super-private ... as in invite only.

TMZ has obtained a photo of the tub in which Whitney Houston died.

The photo was taken moments after police and EMTs removed Whitney's body from the bathroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The photo shows the tub still filled with water. There's a gravy dish at the bottom of the tub, which Whitney typically filled with olive oil to keep her skin soft.

Notice the two circular objects -- they're hair ties.

And there's a towel at the bottom of the tub -- possibly worn by Whitney to keep her hair dry while she was bathing.

Whitney Houston's body triggered high emotion from fans as it arrived at a New Jersey funeral home Monday night ... in a golden hearse.

Fans descended on the Whigham Funeral Home ... waiting for the singer's body to arrive.

A few opportunists were selling "In Memory of Whitney Houston" t-shirts for $10 a pop in the parking lot.

Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, waited outside the home as well.

But the rest of the family wants Whitney buried in Newark -- where she was born, and subsequently discovered at a local Baptist church (below).

We're told Cissy's position is succinct: "Michael Jackson did not want to be buried in Neverland, and Whitney did not want to be buried in New Jersey."

We're told Cissy and Dionne caved, after other family members convinced them New Jersey is where the world will remember her most.

It's unclear why they think the world will remember Whitney more in Newark than ATL.

Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell just swung by the Beverly Hilton hotel to lay flowers at a makeshift memorial for Whitney Houston ... and TMZ has the pics.

Paul and Nancy dropped a bouquet of yellow roses at the scene, shook hands with some of Whitney's fans at the memorial and talked about how much they loved the late singer.

We're told the fans tried to compliment Paul on his performance at the Grammy Awards last night ... but Paul brushed off the praise ... insisting, "This is about Whitney, not me."

We can't find any evidence that Paul and Whitney ever sang together ... but clearly, the Beatles legend had a respect for her work.
