A woman in New York City was strangled with a belt in a horrific attack earlier this month -- which rendered her unconscious and left her vulnerable to be sexually assaulted.

The attack happened about a week ago in the Big Apple, and it's on video. You see a woman walking down a street at night, when a man wearing a white face-covering sneaks up behind her, tosses the looped belt over her head and tightens it around her neck.

By the time the woman realizes what's happening, it's too late ... and the man's dragging her with the belt down the sidewalk as she gasps for air. Eventually, she goes limp -- and he pulls her in between two cars, seemingly manipulating her body before the video cuts out.

Yet another Boeing plane is in the news again after multiple mishaps in recent months -- and this time ... it ended with the aircraft partially on fire ... and people running for their lives.

Check out this wild footage that shows a 737 tilted off a runway at the Blaise Diagne airport near the capital of Dakar Thursday -- and more importantly ... shows flames shooting out from the left engine as emergency crews rush over to put the fire out.

It's pretty dramatic, as you can actually see people fleeing from the scene as they rush to get out of the airplane -- and yes, it's an absolute panic ... appropriately so, considering what's going on.

A Boeing 767 airplane belonging to FedEx narrowly avoided catastrophe after its front landing gear failed to deploy while descending onto a runway ... and it's all on video.

Check it out ... the cargo plane touches down at the Istanbul airport before the aircraft's nose dips down -- causing smoke and sparks to arise as it scrapes along the pavement.

The plane -- which departed from Paris -- lurches forward for a few seconds, eventually coming to a complete stop ... with help arriving moments later. Airport vehicles approach the crash, releasing some sort of substance onto the ground ... likely trying to prevent a fire.

Jaden Smith isn't as skilled on his skateboard as he might've thought ... brutally wiping out during a night ride in NYC.

Will Smith's son was cruising Monday night on his skateboard -- with his bodyguard jogging alongside him for a couple blocks. What's really interesting is Jaden skateboarding amounts to the most chill Met Gala after-party we've seen ... he was actually chatting with photogs about what a good time he'd just had at the fashion event, which he attended with sister Willow Smith.

The good vibes didn't last long though, as Jaden took a tumble mid-chat! Check it out ... he falls to the side after picking up speed.

Ric Flair nearly handed out figure four leg locks outside a pizza joint in Florida after a heated argument at the bar ended with a challenge to fight in the parking lot ... and the entire ordeal was captured on video!

The 3-minute long video shows an agitated Nature Boy arguing with a Piesanos restaurant manager in Gainesville, FL before another patron steps in and threatens Flair with physical violence.

"Come outside here and talk to me like a man," Ric told the manager he was jawing with, before another man interrupted, standing up, looking at Flair, and ominously saying, "Hey, you wanna go have a talk with me in the parking lot? Cause I'll work you. I don't give a s**t."

Flo Milli kicked her own self off stage when fans threw objects at her while she opened a show for Gunna -- a triggering moment for Ari Lennox.

The good news is Ari's happy Flo's headliner stuck up for her ... but that also reminds her she couldn't get a peep of support outta Rod Wave when this happened to her as his opening act!

A reported 1.6 million Madonna lovers turned out for the free concert on Rio de Janeiro's famed Copacabana Beach ... and it was a total spectacle. At one point, the massive crowd actually got in sync enough to take over singing "Like A Virgin."

The final night of Madge's tour, which got off to a rocky start last October, turned out to be a milestone for her. The sea of Rio fans destroyed the previous record for largest Madonna concert ... which was a measly 130,000 for her 1987 Paris show.

Jim Jones got into a wild fight at the airport, taking on two men at once in unbelievable footage ... and, he's claiming he was just trying to defend himself.

New video, obtained by TMZ captures the fight ... which kicks off as Jim and two others are reaching the bottom of an escalator at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. It's unclear what set off the encounter, but it escalates quickly.

While JJ throws punches at the two individuals, they seem to land on an older man's leg, and he's clearly in a lot of pain when he hits the floor at the bottom of the escalator.

Cops in Orange County got their exercise in to end the week -- they had to chase down a handful of alleged juvenile delinquents accused of jacking a car ... and the video's wild.

Costa Mesa PD tells TMZ ... officers came across a vehicle that had been reported stolen Friday in the middle of the day -- and when they tried initiating a stop, we're told the car didn't come to a stop ... so the police had to give chase.

We're told there was a short pursuit, which ended with the subjects of the vehicle bailing on the car ... and cops having to chase them down on foot -- something captured on camera.

The three dogs that made a run for it this week in Philadelphia after mauling a man in the street have been partially recovered -- and their owner has been dinged by cops as well.

Philly PD tells TMZ that two of the three pit bulls that were involved in Wednesday's attack were located over the past 24 hours or so ... and that one remains unaccounted for. As it turns out, the 2 pooches who were found actually ended up having injuries on them too.

We're told one of the dogs got picked up by a civilian after the incident and it was returned to the owner -- and cops say it appeared to have a bite wound on its back.
