A new witness in the Diddy criminal case says he has a manuscript belonging to Diddy's late girlfriend, Kim Porter ... but her best friend tells us Kim never tried to write a book.

Lawanda Lane, Kim's best friend and the caregiver of Kim and Diddy's twin daughters, tells TMZ ... she was best friends with Kim for 30 years, including 20 years living under the same roof, and there was never a manuscript written by Kim.

Kim's BFF tells us she was with Kim every day and Kim never wrote anything down ... and she says the family doesn't know who new Diddy witness Courtney Burgess is, even though the guy claims he's one of Kim's former associates.

Teddi Mellencamp is officially pulling the plug on her marriage ... because she's filed for divorce from her husband.

The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum beelined it to court Friday and filed to divorce Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Teddi lists October 20 as the date of separation, and she's going with the boilerplate "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

The internal investigation MrBeast commissioned after his longtime co-host Ava Kris Tyson was hit with serious grooming allegations found no evidence of such claims ... but the probe did turn up some isolated instances of workplace harassment and misconduct.

MrBeast hired Alex Spiro from the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to investigate his company back in July, following sexual misconduct allegations ... and, after reviewing millions of documents and conducting interviews with current and former employees, the firm concluded that allegations of pedophilia, grooming, and child porn involving company employees and minors were without basis.

Spiro's report, obtained by TMZ, says the sexual misconduct allegations were "soundly rejected, including by alleged victims."

A man who claims he has sex tapes from Diddy's parties, and the real Kim Porter memoir says he's been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury.

We got attorney Ariel Mitchell and her client, Courtney Burgess, Thursday outside the federal courthouse in lower Manhattan and they told us they'd just finished testifying for the grand jury.

Courtney says he was initially contacted by agents from the Department of Homeland Security ... one of the federal agencies involved in the Diddy criminal case.

The assault video showing Diddy beating his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura wasn't released by the feds, they claim ... saying CNN got it from someone else -- and, Diddy's arguments claiming otherwise are straight-up false.

Prosecutors filed a motion in U.S. District Court in opposition to a motion Diddy filed earlier this month alleging he believed the government gave the video to the popular cable news channel back in May ... and, they basically say this can't be true 'cause they didn't even have it yet.

According to prosecutors, federal agents had searched for the video early in the investigation, but it had mysteriously disappeared from the hotel's server ... and didn't crop up again until CNN released the footage on May 17.

Huge development for Erik and Lyle Menendez ... the L.A. County D.A. is pushing for a path to freedom that could set the brothers free in a matter of weeks.

L.A. County D.A. George Gascón just said he "strongly" supports the Menendez brothers' request for clemency.

TMZ broke the story ... Erik and Lyle's lawyer, Mark Geragos, filed legal docs Tuesday with California Governor Gavin Newsom, asking him to grant clemency to his clients.

Diddy's facing a mountain of lawsuits from anonymous accusers, but now at least one of them has to reveal their name ... or take an L in court.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a judge in New York just ruled a woman suing Diddy for an alleged sexual assault she claims happened 20 years ago must reveal her identity or have her suit dismissed.

The woman is suing as a Jane Doe ... and her lawsuit is one of the 120 suits Texas attorney Tony Buzbee says he's filing against Diddy.

Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court. He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails.”

Metro Boomin is facing a new lawsuit from a woman who claims she knew and trusted the Grammy-winning super producer -- before he allegedly raped her in 2016.

TMZ Hip Hop obtained docs filed today by a woman named Vanessa LeMaistre, who claims she was suffering from depression after the death of her 9-month-old son at the time, but hit it off with Metro during a getaway trip to Vegas in the spring of that year.

Vanessa claims Metro invited her to his studio to hang back in Los Angeles, where she says she observed Metro abusing codeine, even against the warnings of his friends.

12:45 PM PT -- Tekashi 6ix9ine's lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ ... Tekashi was notified 2 weeks ago he violated the terms of his probation. He was ordered to appear before a federal judge today in New York ... but he was an hour late to the hearing -- and the judge dispatched U.S. Marshals to find him.

Lazzaro says Tekashi arrived on his own and surrendered voluntarily.

Lazzaro says there were 3 violations, according to the government -- Tekashi performed in Las Vegas, Nevada without permission from his probation department ... Tekashi failed a drug test, testing positive for meth ... and also failed to take a required drug test at another time.

Big twist for Erik and Lyle Menendez ... a judge who may have been sympathetic to their bid to get out of prison is off the case, and a new judge is coming on board.

The case has been transferred to the Van Nuys Courthouse, which is where the brothers were originally tried for murdering their parents, and the new judge coming into the fold is Michael V. Jesic of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Jesic is a former district attorney who is known as a law and order guy and for being prosecution-oriented ... and he's described as being very smart and fair.

Adidas and Kanye West reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement 2 years after facing off in a number of lawsuits.

The sportswear company’s CEO, Bjørn Gulden, who oversees the Germany-based business, issued the update in a conference call with reporters Tuesday ... sharing a resolution has been reached after Adidas ended its working relationship with Ye over his past antisemitic comments.

The CEO reportedly said there are no more open issues, "and there is no … money going either way, and we both move on."

Good news for Erik and Lyle Menendez ... the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office tells us they're open to considering a change in conviction that would set the brothers free at the bang of a gavel.

Here's the deal ... L.A. County D.A. George Gascón has filed legal docs asking Judge William C. Ryan to resentence the Menendez brothers at a November hearing. If that happens, the brothers would be eligible for immediate parole, but that would require an affirmative ruling by the California Parole Board.

TMZ broke the story, we've learned Erik and Lyle's attorney, Mark Geragos, will ask the judge to change their conviction from murder to voluntary manslaughter ... and under a new law, the judge has the power to do so. If that were to happen, Erik and Lyle would be free men, because the maximum sentence is 11 years and they've served 35 years.

One of the most stunning Diddy allegations yet comes from an accuser who claims he was just 10 years old when the Bad Boy mogul forced him to perform a sex act to get his shot at stardom.

The new lawsuit was filed Monday in NY state by a John Doe accuser, and according to the suit, he flew to NYC with his parents in the summer of 2005 for an audition with Diddy. He claims Diddy said he wanted to meet him alone, before meeting his whole family.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff says he met Diddy at a hotel near Madison Square Garden, and he says he rapped several songs, which went well -- Diddy allegedly said he could make the kid a star.

Jay Johnston -- best known for the animated sitcom "Bob's Burgers" -- looks like he's going to spend just over a year behind bars for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot in Washington, D.C.

The comedian's lawyer told NBC News Jay was sentenced Monday to 12 months and a day in federal prison. As we reported ... Jay pled guilty back in July to one count of obstructing officers during a civil disorder.

Jay, who was facing up to 5 years in federal prison, was arrested in California last summer and initially hit with 4 charges ... though 3 were later dropped.
