British pop star Robbie Williams checked into a U.S. rehab center for prescription drug addiction. Williams is no stranger to rehab, having been treated for drug addiction in the '90s. Today is his 33rd birthday.
A rep for Williams said, "Robbie Williams has today been admitted to a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs. There will be no further comment on this matter."
From drug and alcohol addiction to anger management, Williams is the latest in a laundry list of stars to announce that they were seeking professional help. In the past few months, Lindsay Lohan, Miss USA Tara Conner, Mike Tyson and "Grey's Anatomy's" Isaiah Washington have all checked into rehab.
While a huge star overseas, Williams has not been able to match that level of fame in the USA.

(Page 1 of 1)Hi Rob
I just want to tell you that you are not alone, I also went through alcohol and xanax addiction after I had my kids - the pressure was too much. When I cleaned up my act I went through a week of HELL - hallucinations, shakes, panic, crawling insects and insomnia u name it and it was scary. I am for the most part strong now, although I still have my bad days. I am always looking for support from others who have been through what I have as it gives me the inner strenght to carry on. No one knows what it is like until they have been through it themselves - no amount of fame, fans or money can spare you what you are going through right now. You are welcome to contact me at anytime if you need a non judgemental shoulder to lean on.

They post pictures like this to make fools of the celebs and make them look stranger than necessary. Spare me. I'm an American fan (yes, there are a few of us out there!!) Robbie will come back bigger than ever. I think his American ship will come in someday. And if it doesn't , no worries. Obviously, he doesn't why should we? I hope he's able to get help. I don't feel necessarily sorry for celebs much, and I know they choose to live in the fishbowl, but a measure of privacy is still owed them in their personal lives, I think. Shame on Lisa d'Amato, just another skank in a long line who sell their escapades for 15 minutes of fame. As his song Monsoon says, "...save your meat money well, I'm glad that spending the night with me guaranteed you celebrity..." Hope she socked it away, got a few extra modeling jobs, she'll need it someday.
I hope he gets back on track. He is very talented and should not let it go to waste...good luck Robbie!
I wondered what had happened to him! I'm glad he's getting help; he's funny, cute, and talented.
I hope he gets better soon! He is such a wonderful performer!! I love ALL of his albums.
Maybe he'll finally come out of the closet while he's in rehab. Damn, he looks awful for 33.

so you posted this because.....?
Good for him. So many of his crazy antics have clearly been cries for help. He's an extraordinary talent and a cutie-pie to boot. I hope he can finally quell his demons and get back on track. He's far too harmless and nice to let drugs do him in!!!
