Michael Vick

'I Made Bad Decisions'

8/14/2009 1:15 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The Michael Vick "Please Don't Pelt Me with Objects" tour began today as Vick addressed the press for the first time as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Vick said all the right things -- like "I won't disappoint," "Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right," and "You only get one shot at a second chance" -- but he's still got a long way to go to win over the fans of Philly.

Remember, these are the same people that booed Santa Claus.

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (Aug. 14) -- Two sisters have been convicted of failing to provide adequate care their mother during the final months of her life.
According to the Kane County state's attorney's office, 57-year-old Jill Barry and 47-year-old Julie Barry were found guilty Thursday by Associate Judge Allen Anderson of one count each of criminal neglect of an elderly person.

The sisters had waived their rights to a jury trial. When paramedics removed the mother from the home, they found her dehydrated, suffering dementia and resting on filthy sheets while covered in ants, the Chicago Tribune reported. They also noted bedsores on the woman's back, one deep enough to reveal her vertebrae.

IT'S ASHAME HOW PEOPLE VALUE ANIMALS MORE SO THAN THEY DO PEOPLE!!!

Michael Vick did not serve a fair sentence. He has not done his time. A sentence that simple does not do justice to the mangled and slaughtered puppies that died at his hands. He needs to be mangled and left close to death. That would be an eye for an eye. Those tortured animals need us to speak up in their behalf.

Vick is a disgusting human being! He drowned and hung these beautiful innnocent dogs for underperformance and all they wanted to do was please their master. He's a sick serial killer. I want to kick his ass

HE SERVED HIS TIME. HE SHOULD BE GIVEN A 2ND CHANCE. AS LONG AS HE WALKS A STRAIGHT LINE, LEAVE HIM ALONE.

Well, what goes around comes around. Football is a dangerous game, perhaps his neck will be snapped.

Anyone claiming to be from Philly or a lifelong Eagles fan who is "outraged" by this signing needs to shut the hell up and stop lying. Philadelphia fan base is full of drunks and boorish behavior. Pelting Santa and the Cowboys with snowballs (including the former mayor/current governor), pelting JD Drew with D cell batteries, beating up and urinating on opposing fans (including kids), booing McNabb on draft day, cheering when an opposing player is seriously injured with a broken neck on the turf... Shall I go on? Anyway, all this is forgivable, but NOW, all of a sudden, you want to tear up your Eagles jerseys? Well, let the door knob hit ya where the good lord split ya. I know at least 10 people willing to take those season tix out of your fairweather ass hands. J-Roll was 100% correct about your front-running asses. Just be thankful the courts were much more lenient and forgiving with your freakin' DUI's than you are on Vick.

To all the REAL Eagles fans still supporting the TEAM (It's not like you have to root for Vick personally) THANK YOU!!!

Yes, it's just a "mistake" to hook a dog up to some wires and throw it in a pool . . .

Give the man some credit. He made a mistake, he owned up to it and doing everything necessary to right his ship. The guy is a football player its his job. It shouldnt be a suprise to anyone hes playing football again. Like you all knew he would. This isnt news its more like "As expected".

Michael has done a lot of things since hes been out (which been left out of the news) that is helping him. He has surrounded himself with the type of people he should have in the 1st place. The most important being Tony Dungy (ex Colts coach) who has helped Michael tremendously.

Michaels biggest problem is he didnt distance himself from a certian group of suspect friends he grew up with. He knows that know.

While it is heart wrenching to know that dogs were destroyed, i cannot believe people are so cold hearted as not to give the man another chance after he has paid and served his time. There are muderers, child molesters and domestic violence offenders offered another chance. Dogs fight without being trained. While I admit what he did was wrong, people give me a break. Some of the time and money you spend boycotting this individual should be spent funding the homeless and children without homes or food in this country. Where are we now when we are more upset over our animals dying than our children and people losing their homes. Maybe we should boycott the greedy banks and credit card companies we just bailed out. You think???????

I'm not surprised... I mean.. Bret Mayers beat his wife in front of the stadium after a game a couple years back, that was just swept under the rug. So why not bring a dog abuser to the football field? It all works out! Keep the wife beater, keep the dog killer.

look into the eyes of another living, breathing, feeling being and IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD TAKE FOR YOU TO TORTURE IT TO DEATH. then you might find out what kind of person michael vick is. even if he feels true remorse, is that the kind of person we feel we must reward with money and adulation?
