Charlie Sheen Gets Big Clap at 'Two & a Half '

3/29/2010 5:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen got a standing ovation from the audience before and after taping last Friday during filming of "Two and a Half Men," TMZ has learned.

Our spies say when Charlie walked out on the stage the audience rose to its collective feet and went nuts.

Charlie filmed from 7-10:15 pm. He got a standing O at the end, then got in his car and returned to rehab in Malibu.

The set of "Two and a Half Men" -- which normally films in front of a live studio audience -- had been closed to audience members earlier this month, after Sheen pled not guilty to felony assault stemming from the Christmas incident involving wife, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen's trial is set to start July 21 ... but there's a strong likelihood of a plea bargain.

I can't understand that stupid audience giving Charlie Sheen a standing ovation. He's a woman beater just like Chris Brown, except he's worse. He's also a drunk and a whore lover. You're just encouraging that conceited little prick.

Before my friend Fred died a few months ago, he told me that Michael Collins (his boyfriend) said that Ken Plumley (Collins' BEST friend) was Angus T. Jones' (Jake) biological father. Collins once dated Carie Claypool (Angus' mother) in the late 80's and Plumley dated her throughout the 90's.
Plumley works as a busboy at HOLE IN THE WALL in Austin, Texas and lives with his mother.
Remember, there are NO such things as SECRETS!!!

His wife is an alcoholic, gold digging attention whore.... It is unlikely he did anything to her at all.

All you Charlie haters are stupid!! Real stupid.

He has NOT been found guilty; his alcoholic/drug addicted wife recanted her story of what happened that morning; she is a well-known party girl (and still IS partying, even with the little ones at home; Thank G for the Sheen grandparents, who are now residing in their son's home to care for the twins).

IF Charlie did what that boozed addled skank says he did, then yes he should go to jail. But tell me this - do you REALLY think the man is going to jeopardize his very successful and lucrative career by being abusive to his wife when he already paid for his past transgressions? I doubt it. Also, he also managed to find the time to be in a movie while still filming his TV show. That, idiots, is NOT a man who is a drunk or a druggie.

I hope the show goes on, we love the cast and would be very upset to see it go off the air like a lot of past sit coms only to be replaced by more "reality" shows, enough with the reality shows.
According to Jim (Jim Bulishi) was a funny show, we miss it.
King of Queens was funny, we miss it.
Everybody loves Raymond was fun.
The only fun show left for us is 2-1/2 men.
Thank goodness for re-runs.....

Wham, it is not America but Hollywood that has become the cesspool that gives a woman beater a standing O. Those standing are in awe of it and wants so much to be a part. Like the 'despicables' who gave R. Polanski, the convicted child molester, a standing O at the Oscars a few years ago. I think it was the year the big, fat, white man got an Oscar for some fairytale he had filmed.

I hope they keep making the show. Its one of the only funny shows on TV.

What has happened to America land of the free? If you argue with your druken, ex drug addict wife and you get filed with a lawsuit for a disturbance. She was drunk. How can her version of events be trusted anyway. If you do anything at all imperfect you can go to jail in America.
