Great news!

But I am surprised by two MMA stories on TMZ.com.

I guess the sport is getting more popular, but is that a good thing........

They're referring to an artertiovenous malformation, or AVM. The arteries join directly into veins without having the normal intervening capillary network. Without having the capillaries to dampen the high pressure from the arterial side, the veinous side receives more pressure than they it's designed to handle. AVMs are the most common cause of hemorrhagic stroke in people under the age of 30. He's lucky that his was discovered incidentally.

Now he can recover and heal, get back to training, then back in the ring to get his brains scrambled some more.

4. Jane,

You believe a 5-year-old deserves to be slashed in the face. That's sick. What's wrong with you?

I'm shocked he has a brain, let alone the fact that there is a working vein and artery in it.
