'Sister Wives' Polygamist Husband -- 4 Dates in 2 Days

10/5/2010 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Kody Brown -- the head of the polygamist family on "Sister Wives" -- had a busy 48 hours ... going out on a date with each one of his 3 wives ... and the new fiancee ... while finding enough time to clean up after his 13 kids.

0921_media_removed_michael_jackson2
It started on Saturday, when Kody took wife #3, Christine, on an ice cream date.

The next day, Kody grabbed his motorcycle and went for a ride with wife #1, Meri ... before squeezing in some quality time with wife #2 Janelle (the one in the purple).

The new woman in Kody's life -- Robyn -- also got some face time with her man this weekend .... during a his-and-hers grocery store run in which the couple picked up an 8 pack of paper towels ... which will probably last about 10 minutes.

FYI -- authorities in Lehi, Utah have announced they launched a polygamy investigation into the family after seeing "Sister Wives" .... but the Browns claim the show is "worth the risk.".

I saw the first episode and when they were discussing bringing "wife" #4 into the mix, the reaction of the children was strange and sad. While it is true the husband and harem are consenting adults, the children are not and this is awful parenting.

70. Chrissy - I see whites, mexicans, asians and wannabe rappers & such wearing pants off their butts, talking slang and all that. But it seems only one race is so perverted as to turn this type of filth into the norm. Inbreeding, polygamy, prostitution, child porn/molestation and find a way to get away with it. It is absolutely disgusting and these women are totally pathetic!! People don't need to take the time to watch this filth - polygamy, prostitution, child-abuse! In the real world - all these things are crimes, against the law and our race has found a way around the laws. Just like the illegals, politicians, criminals, drug dealers & lazy non-productive uneducated govt assistance rats.

I don't understand what the problem is. This is definitely not the lifestyle choice that I would make, but so are a lot of others. This man loves his family and the family loves each other. Would it be better if he just snuck around and cheated on his wife with whoever? At least he is taking care of his family which is a lot more than I can say about a lot of people. How about less judgement and more awareness. Why are professional athletes (just to use as an example) put on pedestals when they have 4, 5, 6 and more children with as many women? I just don't guess what all the fuss is about.

He probably thinks he's some kind of hero for having all of these women in his harem. WRONG. A real hero is a guy who can stick with one partner through the highs and lows of their relationship. Somebody who just collects another partner is no hero. There is no way on earth that he can provide any of these women the love and support that they need and deserve. And there is yet another one breaking down their door to join this "family"? And she has kids of her own that she will drag into this mess? How tragic.

I'm just wondering how many of those critical of this arrangement are also diehard pro-gay marriage.

Bottom line is what they are doing ISN'T illegal. There doesn't have to be a religious arguement in court. There is an open-marriage going on here and there is no law that can stop it. Bigamy laws require LAWFUL marriages, not spiritual ones. also, since having children out of wed-lock isn't a crime, I find any investigation to be one of harrassment.

Warren Jeffs was not found guily of bigamy for the same reason. He went to jail for arranging an underaged marriage. In other words, he was an accessory to the rape of a child.

Hollywood is notorious for people having children without the benefit of marriage. They may or may not be in committed relationships. This is a very slippery slope.

One must ask themselves, if one truly believe what consenting adults do between each other, how can one say this particular situation is any different than the gay marriage issue.

Slippery slope is all I'm saying...

What is with all the negative comments?!? I don't understand how THIS can disgust someone- consenting adults who pay their way in life and CHOOSE their partners (no one here is talking abotu forced or arraigned marriages)...

But its totally ok for the gvt to take my tax dollars to feed some shmuck and their 7 kids with 7 different fathers...

THAT is what should disgust you!

Opps, need to proof-read before posting. Anyway, here's the corrected post.

I'm just wondering how many of those critical of this arrangement are also die-hard pro-gay marriage.

Bottom line is what they are doing ISN'T illegal. There doesn't have to be a religious argument in court. There is an open-marriage going on here and there is no law that can stop it. Bigamy laws require LAWFUL marriages, not spiritual ones. (Although... there is a common law statute in Utah. Don't know how that fits Could be destroy my argument...hummm). Also, since having children out of wed-lock isn't a crime, I find any investigation to be one of harassment.

Warren Jeffs was not found guily of bigamy for the same reason. He went to jail for arranging an under-aged marriage. In other words, he was an accessory to the rape of a child.

Hollywood is notorious for people having children without the benefit of marriage. They may or may not be in committed relationships. This is a very slippery slope.

One must ask themselves, if one truly believes that what consenting adults do between each other is not the business of anyone else, how can one say this particular situation is any different than the gay marriage issue.

Slippery slope is all I'm saying... It boils down to moral beliefs and who determines what is "moral", who sets the rules as to what determines a moral relationship especially when there are cultures throughout the world that have polygamist views. Very slippery slope...

If you take time to watch, you will see they are all jealous or insecure....there isn't enough hours in a day for two people to be what they need to each other. This man has an ego the size of the state of UTAH, and with this new woman around, they are all going to fall apart.

This is not what God intended for women. So sad!

What a joke..I watched the first show and felt really sad for these non self esteem women. They spend the whole show trying to convince the audience that they are ok with their situation. But it is showing how jealous and insecure they are.

The worst part is they are breeding and bringing thses poor kids up in this trainwreck...

i agree with the person who said:

Why is this show even being aired? or even entertained by a network? What's next a reality TV show about a man that marries his sister? Ridiculous!

SO SAD WHAT THIS WORLD IS COMING TO.

I guess some people will believe in anything. Such a shame there are so many ignorant women who need guidance from a coward hiding behind religion! Not completely surprised though. I work with a mormon whose husband is a deacon/bishop/loser, she works everyday, of course he has no job (hides behind the church), gives 10% of her paychecks to the church and is controlled by the church. What kind of woman pays for a man, pays a church and expects her 2 teenage sons to respect her or him. One son moved out, the other is on his way out. How can you expect your kids to respect a man who has no job, lays up on their mother and thinks he can say one word to those boys. I personally think she's just as stupid as these women here. But again, I guess some women need that kind of guidance. Her and these women are nothing more than MORONS and deserve this lifestyle! If they are stupid enough to get involved, than stupid is how you are treated. Ladies, get a backbone, an education & career, if he isn't bringing what you have to the table or more - what's the point!

First off, the family in this program are not members of the LDS church. They call themselves "Mormons", which is a nickname for those that believe in the Book of Mormon. Second, women in the LDS church are encouraged to become educated. Becoming educated is a choice and has nothing to do with being Mormon or not. Thirdly, who are you to judge that a woman has no self-esteem because she chooses to be LDS (or Mormon)?

You take one example of a family struggling and paint a whole religion as bad. It is this woman's choice to live as she does. Mormon's have a volunteer clergy and being a bishop is a service assignment, not an income producing "job'. If he has had the bad luck to have lost his job in this bad economy, it is not the fault of a religion. If he's a lazy bum, that's another matter but it is doubtful he would be "called" to a bishop if that were the case. Most LDS men, especially bishops, are upstanding, hard-working family men who provide for their families.

As for the 10% tithe, no one holds a gun to your head to pay it. It is a matter of faith. Often, it is the woman who insists the tithe be paid. So pay it, some don't. It is a choice.

The LDS church has a large welfare sytem which takes care of those in need. Huge stores of food for the needy. Those receiving help are expected to contribute work to the system. It is meant as a "hand-up" instead of a "hand-out".

The rest is a matter of religious choice and tolerance. There is a lot of religious bigotry on this board. If you don't believe in the Mormon church, then don't join. My guess this woman's experience at church gives her more self-esteem than you could imagine. I bet you've never even asked how SHE feels about the LDS church.

Polygamy IS illegal for those who don't know... even in Utah. it's also cowardly. Some dude doesn't have the balls to say no to marriage so he can be with whoever he wants whenever he wants, and women have too low self-esteem to say they deserve to be loved so deeply that they're the one and only so they'll settle for anything.

Few true polygamists do it for religious purposes. they may claim it... but it's mostly about using religion to hide sexual deviance.
