'Shahs Of Sunset'

Slammed by Hot Model ...

I'm the Real 'Persian Barbie'

EXCLUSIVE

There can only be one "PERSIAN BARBIE" ... so says a smokin' hot model who claims Bravo's show "Shahs of Sunset" is illegally using HER moniker for one of their cast members.

Niki Ghazian (left) -- FHM model and self-proclaimed "Persian Barbie" -- fired off a cease and desist letter last week to Bravo honchos ... claiming the network has no right to use the term for its newest star Lilly Ghalichi (right).

FYI -- Lilly's co-stars refer to her as the "Persian Barbie" on the show ... which Bravo has utilized in promos and on Lilly's official bio.

Niki says that's not okay -- and while she never applied for a trademark, she says she's the "common law owner" ... claiming ever since 2005, publications like FHM, Kandy Mag, NYLA Mag and more have used it to describe her.

Niki is demanding Bravo stop using the term ASAP -- and remove it from their ads, website and any other press releases ... or else.

"Hot Model"? Really? Did she proclaim herself to be a hot model too? Kind of how she proclaimed herself to be a Persian Barbie? lol

Niki actually just passed the CA state bar in November... so she's not THAT stupid... but I would have to agree that there's no common law "trademark" in using Persian Barbie....

To all The Retards of Sunset;
This show is a major embarrassment to all Iranians whether in the U.S. or anywhere in the world for that matter.
The cast members of this show, really project a small group of uneducated and fame-hungry idiots who have no clue what it takes to be called Iranian/Persian, thus willing to do whatever it takes for money and fame so desperately.
The first episode of the second season was on Sunday Dec 2nd, with loud Arabic background music, making comments about the hot weather in Los Angeles and comparing that to the weather in Iran and making a comment about expecting to see camels on the streets. Are you serious? I thought you guys where from Tehran, but the way you all act, it is more like being from the desert.
This is way out of line. As I mentioned earlier, this show should be presented as The Retards of Sunset. Now, that would make much more sense.

The fact that Barbie is a trademark does not defeat Niki Ghazian's argument. There would be no likelihood of confusion between the Persian Barbie (a real person) and Barbie (a toy). As seen in most of the comments, people are not getting that part confused. Just take the time to read some case law over this issue. I did. Second, being born in Iran would make her Iranian or Persian. Don't know where the Armenian concept came from. Also, the one on the right was photo shopped and had make-up and hair done professionally. Check out Niki Ghazian in the recent Muse article and then make your decision after both have had profession makeup/hair and photo shop. Finally, Niki paid her way through law-school and is now an attorney and I can trust she did her research before sending the cease and desist.
