Usher

Suspect Arrested in

Stepson's Jet Ski Death

3/1/2013 9:25 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0301-Jeffrey-Simon-Hubbard-tmz-mugThe jet ski operator who allegedly ran over Usher's stepson in a Georgia lake last summer -- killing the 11-year-old boy -- was arrested this morning ... TMZ has learned.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was indicted on Thursday by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Georgia.

The District Attorney tells TMZ Hubbard was indicted for Homicide by Vessel, Serious Injury by Vessel, as well as Reckless Operation of a Vessel.

TMZ broke the story ... Tameka Raymond's son, Kile Glover, suffered severe brain injuries on July 6th when police believe Hubbard's jet ski collided with him. Kile was on an inflatable raft at the time of the accident. Kile was vacationing with his father, Ryan Glover, at the time of the incident.

Kile was hospitalized, and never regained consciousness. He died on July 21.

Hubbard is currently being held without bail.

We're told he'll be in front of a judge this weekend ... when a decision will be made on whether he can be released on bail.

Very sad the poor kid died, and I can't claim to know exactly what happened during the accident, but....."Reckless Operation of a Vessel"...?
Have you ever tried to control a jet ski on the waters when there are other boats and jet skis making big swells?
Like I said I don't know what happened but seems like a stretch on the charge

That is ridiculous...Nobody should ever leave their homes, you never know when you might have an accident and be charged with murder

Hey TMZ I know you were raised by some wolves butt you would think coming into a few dollars would give you a certain degree of couthness. This child has PARENTS. Usher has zilch to do with this child. Please report this accordingly. Tameka is his mother and Ryan the father. Who cares about Usher??? Also the idiot who said the child was not supervised....ummmm selectiv reading will give you dementia. This child and the surviving injured girl, were under supervision. Gosh!

I feel bad for the kid and his love ones, but is it possible this could've been an accident. I've been on jet skis and they're not that easy to handle

If it was an accident, then I don't think he should go to jail for it. However, if he was drinking, high or did this on purpose he should be punished. That poor kid had such a short life and hopefully the person the apparent suspect at least feels guilty or remorseful regardless.

What the heck. If this was just a plain ole accident , why wouldn't he come forward And admit it then and there! There's something wrong with that. Hiding something. Some people never feel any remorse -justice will be served.
