3 Doors Down Bassist

Free On $100K Bond

In Fatal Crash

4/23/2013 4:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0420-robert-todd-harrrell
3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell is back on the streets after posting $100,000 bail this afternoon on charges including vehicular homicide while intoxicated.

Harrell was arrested late Friday night following a deadly crash in Nashville, TN ... as TMZ previously reported. Police say the 41-year-old was speeding when he clipped a pickup ... whose driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died in the hospital.

According to the police report, Harrell seemed impaired and admitted he'd been drinking and taking the prescription painkiller Lortab and Xanax. Deputies said they found more pills -- including Oxycodone and Oxymorphone -- in his sock during booking.

He was charged with vehicular homicide and bringing controlled substances into the jail ... and has a Thursday court date on the schedule.

Not scheduled is 3 Doors Down ... the '90s band -- top hit, "Kryptonite" -- has reportedly canceled its shows through May.

I'm sick of these "celebs" getting away with murder...literally. Drunk, drugged up, driving, kills someone and he's walking the streets like nothing happened. Sickening!

This guy admits to killing a person gets 100k bond. My uncle deals a bit of drugs, get 2.5 million dollar bond. Eventually gets two life sentences in fed court.

This guy is a major dick. And his attorney will get him some sweet plea deal. Hopefully his conscience will make him suffer. If he has one, anyway.

OH MAN... THE DAMN DEFENSE IS GONNA CREATE REASONABLE DOUBT. THE VICTIM WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT. NOTE TMZ MADE THAT CLEAR... WHY?? AS TO ESTABLISH REASONABLE THAT IF THE DEAD DUDE WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT HE MAY STILL BE ALIVE. THAT WILL BE THE CONTENTION. EXPERTS WILL TESTIFY EITHER WAY BASED ON SPEED, IMPACT, AND ANGLE OF IMPACT WHETHER THERE WAS ENUFF FORCE TO KILL THE DUDE HAD HE WORE A SEAT BELT. THE REASONABLE DOUBT IF THE ASS SH*T IS CONVICTED WILL DETERMINE HOW MUCH LESS HE WILL GET IN JAIL, IF ANY... YEA, BLAME THE F*CKING VICTIM. CELEB F*CKING JUSTICE!! POINT BLANK. #TRUTH!!
