Ex-Patriots Star Brian Holloway

Neighbors Call B.S.

On House-Trashing

9/22/2013 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

The plot thickens in the story of ex-New England Patriots player Brian Holloway ... who went ballistic after his New York home was trashed by a horde of rowdy, drunken teen vandals.  Turns out the house was already in disrepair and in FORECLOSURE, and his neighbors smell a rat.

TMZ has learned ... Holloway owes a whopping $1,006,348.80 on the house ... it appears he was delinquent on paying his mortgage and the bank then demanded payment of the entire balance.

Brian hasn't lived in the home for a long time -- he's in Florida -- and neighbors tell us they thought the house was abandoned.  In fact, before the blow-out bash, neighbors say kids staged a number of parties in the house -- which has no furniture.

Neighbors think the kids who Brian is now attacking are getting a bad rap.  They say there was already plenty of damage to the home before the party in question -- broken doors and damaged floors.  And ... there was plenty of preexisting graffiti covering the walls.

Some neighbors are suspicious of Brian's motive in requesting financial help to pay for repairs on his PayPal account.  They think he's trying to create sympathy so money floods in and he can save his house.

As for Brian ... he tells TMZ there was some preexisting damage, but the 300 hooligans really trashed his crib.  He also says he's been trying to renegotiate with the bank for 2 years.

The clock is ticking -- the foreclosure sale is set for Oct. 29.

The media could have easily debunked this. Why do you think nobody was arrested THREE weeks after the alledged incident?

An easy google search could show you that the house was being destroyed by Brian himself to kick his ex wife out:

And those teens who were being threatened by many commenters on twitter posted photos of Brian's own son appreciating the graffiti a week before the party.

Someone should return the favor on those commenters who threatened the teens by posting a page of all those people who jumped to the wrong conclusion and threatened those teens.

This can't be real? These parents are blaming this man for outing their kids? Whether or not this mans home is abandoned or had wear and tear. It still doesn't give them the right to tho there in the first place. Get real. This man admitted from his first news interview that this house had issues. But nothing warranted them to do this? They should be shamed!

These parents are a joke! Does not matter how long the house lay vacant breaking and entering to have a party is a felony. They are lucky he is not throwing the people in jail! Take some parenting classes and teach your children responsibility!

moral of the story: don't have kids if you can't even do a simple job punishing your kids for their bad behavior

Did the moronic neighbor see the video with kids doing unlawful stuff? Drinking was only one item...how about meth use etc. it is all do***ented so, the neighbor needs to shut up and open his eyes to kids running out of control...I'm sure the neighbor is close friends with one of the accused kids parents. Transparent clap trap.

the issue isn't if he is losing home or not. the issue is these people when into house (don't imagine its the first time) did drugs, drank and vandalized the house and admitted to it on the net. they are themselves, saying they are guilty of the crime

And how many of these neighbors have children (or nieces or nephews) that attended the party?

None of the information about the homeowner's financial situation, nor the fact that maintenance may have been deferred by the title holder, is relevant to the criminal trespass and vandalism of the "hooligans." PERIOD

These kids still didn't have any business being on private property.

Oh, I see. Because, the owner wasn't currently "living" in the home and there was already "some" damage we should give a pass to 300 little delinquent little brats?? Ridiculous.

I don't care how bad the hose was run down.. no one has a right to enter a house uninvited.. throw a party, post photos on social media.. then have their parents get bent out of shape bc they were called out on it !! It's no wonder kids are so horrible these day with the way their parents try to shield them from their bad behavior !

It makes no difference at all if this house is in foreclosure. What these punks did was WRONG.. Trashing property that belongs to someone else is WRONG. Doing drugs is WRONG, drinking underage is WRONG. These neighbors and some of the parents of these idiot kids make me want to wretch.

Agreed that nobody should be trespassing and messing up someone else's property. However, I thought something was weird when Holloway claimed only 30 grand worth of damage and I wondered where was all the furniture? There was no furniture so the place was obviously not lived in for awhile. Also, this guy is a 'motivational speaker', that often translates into somewhat shady moves and finances.
