2 Alleged Drug Dealers Targeted in Police Raid

EXCLUSIVE

New York cops have just made 4 ARRESTS in connection with Philip Seymour Hoffman's death … Law enforcement sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ.

Our sources tell us … police have obtained a search warrant and are currently on scene at a NY apt. We're told police are targeting two individuals who they believe sold PSH heroin.  Sources say cops raided 3 units in the same building.

Sources also tell us … someone involved in the heroin market in NYC contacted police and gave them the names and addresses of two alleged drug dealers who pushed the drug.

We're told the heroin user told cops he buys from the same dealer Hoffman frequented and sometimes saw Hoffman in the dealer's apartment.  The informant says Hoffman would buy "bundles" of heroin at a time ... twice a week.

Sources say the informant told cops ... the alleged dealer -- a musician for a famous rapper -- would sometimes run out of his supply and use a secondary dealer, who sold "cheap s**t heroin" that was dangerous.  And the informant says ... Hoffman would get the secondary supply.

Four suspects are now in custody.  Law enforcement tells us all 4 were arrested for drugs found in the apartment units.

10:15 PM PT -- Sources tell us 3 of the suspects are men ... 1 woman -- and officers found nearly 350 glassine baggies filled with heroin.  We're told one of the men -- Robert Vineberg has played sax for Mick Jagger, Amy Winehouse, Wyclef, Tom Jones and David Bowie. He's been charged with felony drug possession.

who cares

A so called movie star dies from a heroin overdose and all of a sudden we have a epidemic that needs to be policed and fixed by the politicians. I feel sorry for all the heroin addicts that died that didn't have the $$$$options$$$$ this guy had to get help... I hope more in hollywood drops dead maybe you people will learn to stop putting these people on pedestals. Because if his name was John doe he would have had his kids taken from him and been in and out of prison for his drug problem...... Hoffman had it mad so the loser gets no pity from me....

As sad as this situation is, Phillip Seymour was a grown man who made his own choices and had the resources (unlike other addicts) to get the best help. There are many addicts that die on those streets and some have died with the same heroin that might have killed this actor. This is a perfect example of how celebrities are treated like royalty. This man was a drug addict and his death was a choice he made. Those drug dealers might have sold him the drugs, but he injected himself no one else was with him. So they need to stop pointing fingers. Phillip Seymour did this to himself, he is not a victim.

Drug dealersin jail is always a good thing. But I have to wonder if it would have happened i (such swift action to investigate and arrest) f it were an average joe or Jane found dead in their apartment.

I saw an ad for some pharmaceutical (don't remember for what treatment but it's for something minor) and in the ad they are telling you that the side-effects are going to jack you up or worst. But take it and don't stop taking it before asking your doctor.
Then they said ask your doctor for it. (WTF??)
Some people will ask their doctor for it and take it I'd bet.

What I.m saying is... some things are dangerous. And we know it may eff us up (like poping a wheelie at 80mph or guzzling absinthe.) But we (some of us) do it anyway.

What does this have to do with heroin or PSH?
Nothing.
R.I.P. Phillip.
You entertained me.
Thanks for that!

Busting a couple of dealers should clean up the city in no time....after they rat out their supplier and a sacrificial politician Drug Cartels will become extinct in a land of sunshine, puppies & lollipops.

Probably the same clinics that supply the movie and music Industry with drugs. All done under an alias name the clinics treat the wealthy and give them drugs.... When someone dies its time for a cover up...

So glad my city is wasting money finding a celebrities dealer instead of the everyday dealers who kill everyday people. Don't tell me they do except it's not publicized. They never do it this grand, and never do it this QUICKLY for an everyday citizen who OVERDOSED himself. He was a great actor but it just goes to show how average folks like us aren't important enough to narc cops. What a waste of money being spent on these guys. They probably deal to famous people all the time. Probably their biggest clients so they aren't really keeping these guys off the streets from selling to average people. Highly doubt these guys sell to everyday people because they risk their freedom. They get paid more for dealing to celebs, I'm sure. So once again, corner drug dealers prevail and try to harm average folks.

I don't believe it because with all the publicity that's been on this, they'd be dumb not to lay low or get out of town. Tomorrow we will learn these guys didn't sell to him but were just narced on by a customer

Nobody Special

Most professional dealers use the Lactose milk Sugar ie: inositol for the Heroin cut. It's one of the safest cuts used in the business.

Many of these dealers now are cutting the Heroin with Ice/meth, Fent, and so many other dangerous mixes.

The poor users will do anything to get the next fix and they will try just about any new packaged drug.

I hope they catch this dealer who sold him the bad drug.

Most dealers cut the heroin weak enough with inositol so it will not kill them in an OD.

This is why it's so important to keep our troops in Afghanistan and destroy the Poppy Fields.
