After three mediocre, injury-riddled seasons Davis finally broke out in 2009, co-leading the NFL in touchdown receptions. Regarded as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Davis was listed as the No. 4 tight end prospect of the class of 2003. In track & field, he was the DCIAA champion in the high jump with a jump of 6 ft 5 in (196 cm).
