Dance music maven Moby has a hidden skill we never knew about -- he's a baller in the real estate game ... and has a huge stack of cash to prove it after unloading a tiny New York City apartment.
Moby purchased the 950 sq. ft. pad in the NoLita (North of Little Italy) neighborhood back in '96 for $215,750. The one-bedroom, one-bath unit also came with a private 870 sq. ft. outdoor garden terrace.
Nice little investment, right? Well, cut to 2014 -- the condo recently sold for a whopping $2,050,000 and according to the tax forms ... Moby's making just under $1.5 million, and that's AFTER taxes!!
Now, prepare to have your mind blown. At $2 mil ... Moby's place comes in at $1,098 per square foot ... which is actually a steal in Manhattan! The average is $1,398/sq. foot.
