Curt Schilling Say To Back Off Trump Over Hillary Comments

Curt Schilling says it's OBVIOUS Donald Trump was NOT calling for his supporters to assassinate Hillary Clinton Tuesday ... saying the whole thing was a joke that simply fell flat.

Schilling -- an outspoken conservative Republican -- joined the guys on the "TMZ Sports" TV show (airs tonight on FS1) and reacted to the new Trump video that EVERYONE'S talking about.

"The one thing everybody needs to understand -- HE'S NOT FUNNY," Schilling said. "He tries to be funny and he's not."

Schilling blames the media for misinterpreting Trump's comments.

He also tees off on Clinton himself -- and explains why he's still Team Trump all the way.
