Dana White McGregor Will Be Punished For Bottle War ... Lawsuit On the Way
Dana White says Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will BOTH be punished for their roles in the UFC 202 bottle fight ... and says someone who was struck at the event is already planning a lawsuit.
The UFC prez joined the guys on the "TMZ Sports" TV show (airs Thursday on FS1) -- and we asked if the fighters will be reprimanded for the incident, in which a child was allegedly hit with a projectile.
"They're both getting punished," White says.
"What everybody's gotta understand is .. we're overseen by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. I guarantee both of these guys will get massive fines. And there's probably gonna be a hearing too after the fight."
White says both guys could be hit with suspensions and community service -- "It's gonna be ugly."
"And the word is that in this thing, somebody was injured. So, there's gonna be a lawsuit ... who knows how it's gonna play out."
White didn't say who is filing the suit -- but says "the wheels are in motion on it."
There's A LOT more in the entire interview, which airs tonight on FS1. Don't miss it.
