Kyrsten Sinema is fighting to get her hands on her boyfriend Matthew Ammel’s ex-wife’s therapy records ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Matthew’s ex, Heather Ammel, is asking a judge to shut down subpoenas issued by the former U.S. Senator from Arizona.

The subpoenas in question asked for Heather’s therapist to turn over all documents revealing dates of therapy sessions, notes from therapy sessions, intake forms, invoices, and all communications with Heather.

Kyrsten Sinema is no longer sleeping with a married man -- because her boyfriend Matthew Ammel’s divorce has now been finalized -- TMZ has learned.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a North Carolina judge signed off on Matthew and his now-ex, Heather Ammel, being legally single on March 30, 2026.

The judge granted Matthew an "absolute divorce" from Heather. The order says Matthew is a resident of Arizona. Official records show Matthew and Krysten are associated with the same $2 million home in the state.

Kyrsten Sinema wrote an emotional text message to her married boyfriend, Matthew Ammel, that his estranged wife is now using in court ... TMZ has learned.

Matthew’s estranged wife, Heather Ammel, submitted alleged 2024 messages that the former Arizona senator sent.

In the paperwork obtained by TMZ, Heather said Kyrsten sent Matthew a concert ticket via text in June 2024 to see the singer Noah Kahan ... and says the following month, the politician shared her location with Matthew.

The former Arizona senator filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit in which she's being sued by her lover's estranged wife in North Carolina on Thursday. In the papers, she admits she and Matthew Ammel began an affair about five months before he separated from his wife, Heather Ammel. The filing was first reported on by an Arizona reporter named Brian Anderson.

Sinema says she and Ammel became "romantic and intimate" in late May 2024 ... engaging in physical intimacy for the first time on May 27 in Sonoma, California ... adding that they were also physically intimate in New York City, Washington, D.C., Aspen and Phoenix in subsequent months.

A civil lawsuit filed in North Carolina by a woman named Heather Ammel claims Sinema destroyed Ammel's marriage with her estranged husband, Matthew, by carrying on an affair with him while he was part of Sinema's security detail.

Ammel claims Matthew began working for Sinema in 2022 ... who allegedly sent him "romantic and lascivious" messages in frequent communications on the Signal encryption app. Heather and Matthew were married for 14 years and share three children.
