Gilbert Arenas returned to work on Thursday ... fresh off the great news his basketball star son, Alijah, would complete his recovery from home following his serious Cybertruck crash.

The former Wizards guard resumed his spot on the "Gil's Arena" set alongside Josiah Johnson, Brandon Jennings and Nick Young ... and they got right into it by discussing the Lakers' early exit from the playoffs at the hands of the Timberwolves.

Arenas was in great spirits despite what's been going on with his family ... as he arrived in a Homey D. Clown costume (from Damon Wayans' character in "In Living Color") to honor a promise he made on the series.

10:40 AM PT -- The Pirates acknowledged the incident prior to their game against the Cubs on Thursday morning ... taking a moment to offer prayers for the fan and recognize the medical personnel who helped rush him to the hospital.

6:21 AM PT -- Authorities in Pittsburgh say the fan is currently at a local Pittsburgh hospital in "critical condition."

No further updates regarding his health were given ... though they added they believe the incident was an accidental one.

An MLB fan sustained significant injuries in a fall from a PNC Park outfield wall on Wednesday night ... and the scene was so horrifying, Pirates manager Derek Shelton asked afterward for "everybody to keep him in their prayers."

We're told Jakes spent a lot of time recovering from the heart issue, and it's affecting him to some degree.

Rapper Yung L.A. of "Ain't I" fame passed out while performing over the weekend -- and the only thing more scary was the fall he took afterward!!!

The weathered Atlanta rapper was live at the Elite Lounge in Greenwood, SC and appeared to be bursting with energy as the opening chords of his hit song "Futuristic Love" began to blare through the club. Yung L.A. then tried to pass the microphone to a woman standing onstage ... but he quickly nosedived to the floor, landing flat on his face.

Two men attempted to hold Yung L.A. before his body went limp and he sank to the floor. It didn't appear to be too serious ... both guys were cracking up laughing!!!

Pastor T.D. Jakes is stepping back from his duties in his megachurch ... announcing his successors months after a medical incident onstage ended with him on the operating table.

The pastor -- who served as the head of The Potter's House church since he founded it back in 1996 -- told the church Sunday that he would be handing over his duties to Sarah Jakes Roberts and Toure Roberts, his daughter and her husband.

Jakes released a long statement about his departure ... citing the need to address major economic issues of the time as part of the impetus for his decision -- claiming he wants to focus on "serving as a bridge between community, culture, and corporate alliances to help position our nation for a stronger future."

TMZ Sports spoke with our law enforcement sources ... and we're told LAPD didn't observe any signs of intoxication at the scene, just moments after the 18-year-old 5-star recruit was pulled from his burning vehicle around 4:55 AM.

After Arenas was transported to a local hospital, cops followed up ... but the soon-to-be USC basketball star was already intubated (tube down his throat), so no blood draw was done.

5:56 PM PT -- The San Antonio Fire Department tells TMZ ... they responded to the Majestic Theater at 5 PM CT for a report of an elderly patient who had reportedly fainted and transported them to the hospital with a non life-threatening condition.

4:38 PM PT -- A rep for Carlos Santana tells TMZ ... tonight's concert at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio has been postponed. The singer is currently under observation in Texas. His rep says he's doing well and looks forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour.

The rep adds the San Antonio show will be rescheduled soon.

Health scare for Carlos Santana ... he's in a hospital right now getting treatment after suffering a medical emergency before a concert in Texas ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for the legendary musician tells us Carlos suffered a medical emergency Tuesday that they suspect is dehydration. He was put into an ambulance and has left the venue, and we're told by his rep he's been hospitalized for further testing.
