The JFK Photo That Could Have Changed History

12/28/2009 4:07 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has obtained a never-before published photograph which appears to show John F. Kennedy on a boat filled with naked women -- it's a photo that could have altered world events.

John F. Kennedy Photograph
We believe the photo was taken in the mid-1950s. It shows two naked women jumping off the boat and two more naked women sunning on the top deck. Just below the top deck -- a man appearing to be John F. Kennedy is lying on a deck, sunning himself.

TMZ had multiple experts examine the photo -- all say there is no evidence the picture was Photoshopped. The original print -- which is creased -- was scanned and examined for evidence of inconsistent lighting, photo composition and other forms of manipulation. The experts all concluded the photo appears authentic.

A forensic photo expert says the print appears to be authentic. The expert says the photo is printed on paper consistent with what was used in the 1950s. The emulsion on the surface of the print has numerous cracks -- the result of aging and handling.

There are numerous articles and books on President John F. Kennedy which mention a 2-week, Mediterranean boating trip that JFK -- then a Senator -- took in August, 1956, with his brother Ted Kennedy and Senator George Smathers. The trio reportedly entertained a number of women on the yacht. Jackie Kennedy was pregnant at the time and was rushed to the hospital while JFK was an the boat. Doctors performed an emergency C-section, but the infant was stillborn.

A forensic analyst superimposed an image of Kennedy taken at the Democratic National Convention in August 1956, just days before Kennedy went on the Mediterranean cruise. The analyst says the features from the two pics almost precisely sync up. TMZ has also had two Kennedy biographers examine the photo -- they also believe JFK is in the picture.

The photo was eventually given to a man who owned a car dealership on the East coast. The man kept it in a drawer for years, and would brag to friends he had an image of JFK on a boat with naked women. The man died 10 years ago and one of his sons inherited the photo.

Had the photo surfaced when John F. Kennedy ran for President in 1960, it could have torpedoed his run, and changed world history.

Check out Brigette Bardot in 1952. That's a tiny bikini... The tan line would certainly match the one on the jumping girl. Heck, maybe that's Bardot!

re: the authenticity of the image - no one looking at a digital image online can make the call one way or the other. As far as doctoring the old fashioned way (masks, multiple exposures, etc.), it is by no means out of the question and was a highly sought after art/craft in the graphics industry. I used to do it myself back in the day. Just takes more time and effort than photoshopping

Obviously, the person who said they were "glad he got assassinated" wasn't around to live through the Cuban Missile Crisis, and doesn't have any idea how close we came to a World War 3 because of it. This man not only saved our a-s-s-es and the rest of the world's.. he saved your momma's a-s-s too! You Stupid Ignorant Tarded A-s-s-hole! Go Kill Yourself.

@Chocula and @Cartman

TMZ had this photo looked at by experts, but I guess you guys are better trained than these people. How could you tell it was photoshopped? The pixels, or just seeing quite a few shops in your time?

The photo was in some guys drawer, and he would probably show it off to friends constantly. It's not like it was in the care of a museum where measures would be taken to make sure it was properly preserved. You're the experts, though.

In the HiRes picture of the PDF there doesn't seem to be any film grain; it appears to be "printed." This appears to be an old forgery - I'll bet straight from Hoover's FBI!

TMZ, pull this photo, you got it wrong and you're going to be embarrassed.
-tan lines are all wrong for the era
-hair styles are all wrong for the era.
-man's body is perfectly situated within the deck-chair, no overlap onto the rest of the photo
-jfk's medium brown hair is surprisingly dark for a guy who is supposedly "sunning himself"
-a big krinkle is located on the male subject's neck, just where the evidence of photoshopping would be.

Yeah, it's a good thing John Kennedy was assasinated (and his brother). Both were not just womanizers and misogynists, but pretty much useless. Those who say otherwise are only blindly following the image the media has told them. Because point of fact: John F Kennedy never really did anything to deserve praise in his term as president. Just some well chosen words is all. If you really want to know the man that John F. Kennedy really was, watch The Simpsons. In particular, the character named "Mayor Joe Quimby" ("Joe" was the name of John's father, and "Quimby" sounds like "Kennedy". Get it?).

Would this photo "have altered world events?" Yeah right. About as much as Pee Wee Herman can alter world events.

"today this wouldn't kill an election"

Are you insane?!
Imagine a photo just like this surfaces in Sept. 08 but instead of JFK it's Obama.
Give me a break.
He'd have no chance.

By the way, the only reason why all the tales of JFK's philandering were not common knowledge back then was because the White House had a MUCH tighter grip on the press corps back then. Say what you will about tabloid journalism but if it doesn't keep people honest it sure as hell exposes the pigs.

We have officially verified that the tan line on the young woman's butt was created by a pair of Simpson-Sears panties, model#F-B-4332 from that era. The model was in production for four years, had a comfortable elastic waist and was a kind of "wash and wear" design that babes in boats would go ga-ga over. Have you considered supporting the Smithsonian in 2010? How about ordering our new "Panties from the 20th Century" wall calendar as a gift for the office, clergy, barbershop or random act of kindness to destroy Republican careers? Call 1-800-PANTIES today, and help assure that the history of your country isn't lost at sea!

DoctorSerizawa, that's humorous about the vast right wing conspiracy, lol. Maybe the conservatives made JFK put his reproductive part into Marilyn Monroe too?

Conservatives have no issues with JFK. He's a dead guy on a coin. It's not like he can kill our economy and force an unwanted healthcare system on us.

I agree it's this stupid TMZ pic is a fake but why do you libs gotta drag politics into everything?

TMZ has a lot of undiscovered forensics experts right here commenting on their stories. Amazing.

Hair styles are wrong for the era? I wasn't aware that wet hair in the 50's was that much different than it would be today.

Looks legit to me, but I'm no expert like some of you guys.

Almost forgot. Before some other idiot makes the usual knee-jerk defense of JFK so-called "greatness" re: the Cuban missile crisis, like as if he alone was actually responsible for single-handedly stopping the world from blowing up, a la Superman.... geezus, please get an education. Please read a book on the CMC. You'll hopefully find out that JFK was, far from being Superman or even a mortal man in control of the situation, he was more like a green schoolboy scared out of his witless mind, peeing in his pantaloons and not knowing what to do. So be glad he was assasinated. Any more JFK's and were all goners.

@ eh
Men are pigs???

I see five people in this photograph. Four are women, and they don't appear to be held against their will. If this photo was really taken in the 50's he may have been married, he may not have been.

Not everyone lives in your Norman Rockwell world, and not everyone thinks sex is a crime.
