Shia LaBeouf was placed in handcuffs after a fight at a bar last night, but was eventually released ... TMZ has learned. 
It all went down at Mad Bull's Tavern in Sherman Oaks, CA. Sources at the bar tell TMZ, Shia is a frequent patron of the establishment. According to witnesses, he got a little rowdy and ended up getting punched in the face.
Sources close to Shia paint a different story -- they say Shia was jumped on his way out of the bar. They say police arrived on scene shortly thereafter, cuffed everyone involved, and eventually let Shia go. Police have no record of any arrests being made.
Sources close to the actor say the security guard at the bar backed up Shia's version of events.

Apparently Indiana Jones 4 was playing on the bar television. The rest was inevitable.
I saw the whole thing... that Sam fella stepped outside, some jealous punks followed him out and started crap with him cause he was with that hot brunette girl. Next thing I know, a yellow Camaro seemed to transform into a walking robot and freed him from their grasp! Couldn't believe it!
Then, a bunch of cops show up, the robot turns back into a Camaro and the cops cuff him! But before they haul him away, some serious looking guys in black suits show up, talk to the cops, and they take the cuffs off. Then Sam left. Funny how they say this didn't actually happen. Hmmm...
I was there when it all went down. It was one of the top two craziest things ive ever seen at a bar. Shia went berserk. He started calling some dude out to fight and the guy just kept laughing at his face. Shia went to his truck where we thought he would leave but he snapped. He proceeded to run in the bar, come around to the patio, and the ***** he wanted to fight ran and jumped over the railing. Shia chased, 3 guys attacked him and he started beating the **** out of all 3 of them. Then he was put in a choke hold and detained. It was like being in a movie. Shia that my friend was BAD ASS.
hopefully he's able to get even stevens with the culprit's...
I HATE Shia. He is a prick for parking so close to that guys car that time and not even apologizing for it. Ever since i saw that video TMZ posted I think he's the biggest celebrity ass hole around. He's also a sucky actor.
