Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have bounced back from the separation rumors that plagued them earlier this year ... and TMZ has learned it was differing opinions on how to manage their superstar kids that caused the original strife.
Sources close to the couple tell TMZ they are doing "wonderful" now -- but earlier this year, sources tell TMZ there was tension between the two over how best to manage the careers of Jaden and Willow.
We're told each had their own ideas for how things should be handled -- with Will pushing more for full-blown stardom and Jada leaning towards easing them in to things.
But our sources say that bad patch -- which included rumors Jada had an affair with Marc Anthony -- is now past them and things are back to normal.
Will's rep had no comment.

Love and marriage... love and marriage... Kids the problem?
Sorry, but kids' show biz careers are NOT the source of marital strife. Things have to be going south before the issue of how to deal with your children's ambitions come up. She bragged once about their "open marriage" which is code for my-husband-sleeps-around-and-I-can-either-accept-it-or-hit-the-road. She probably lives with the fact that he taps the ladies, but I bet they divorce when their kids are older.
Excuse me, their 'superstar kids'? Oh...you mean them two little clones they're raising, Toddler and Tiara.
I highly doubt that. Will is the more sensible one.
Jada has CLEARLY crafted Willow to be just like her... wild and unconventional. Plus, it was Jada going around talking about wanting Willow to work with Gaga and Minaj etc.
I think the source got it backwards.
In fact, I remember Jada telling Oprah she shaved Willow's head without telling Will first.
Jada is the initiator of these things. She pushes the kids to grow up fast. There is NO WAY Jada is the brakes. Nope. Sorry.
Get your kids OUT of entertainment. You dont MANAGE kids.... you RAISE them. I thought Will was smarter than this.
I admire both Will and Jada but these talented children need to be children first...so Jada is right. Ease them in...let them do a little show business and a lot of kid business.....
as much as I admair will smith and as talented as their children are I have to side with Jada....these kids need to be kids..so easing them in a little bit and giving them kid time is ideal.....
oh please!!! just have these kids be kids. school, chores, etc. quit trying to have them grow up so fast. that little girl already thinks her **** doesn't stink, and as she gets older it will only get worse. i expect will and jada to be divorced within one year. it's not the kids that caused the trouble!
Since they are beards for each other, they will be together forever. Who else are they ever going to find to beard for them? Much easier just putting up with the one you have instead of dealing with the hassle of finding a new one.
LOL..tension...what tension? Thought they didn't have any marital problems which is why their PR people took those photo ops of them skipping down the sidewalk holding hands, laughing and looking dreamily into each others eyes last summer? Now they're saying there WAS a little tension between them?
These celebs need to stop. Damn near everybody know Will and Jada are not together but live under the same roof. Maybe they're about to announce their divorce.
Superstar kids??...lol...EPIC FAIL...the Karat movie didn't do well. the whip my hair song didn't do well either. Jada she can't act. Will is narcissistic...ooops...the whole family is narcissistic.
