Paul Walker

Will Had BIG Mistake

But In Death It All Works Out

EXCLUSIVE

Paul Walker's will was poorly drafted ... making it SEEM like he wanted his mom to wrestle parental control of his daughter from his baby mama--  yet in a strange twist of events, the will now reflects exactly what Paul would have wanted.

Paul's will was drafted back in 2001 ... and it makes his mother Cheryl the legal guardian of Meadow. It reeks of a family feud because there's no mention of Meadow's mother Rebecca Soteros.

The guardianship clause doesn't make sense ... because at the time the will was drafted Meadow lived with her mom in Hawaii .... and sources close to Paul say he was happy with the arrangement when he signed the will

Now the twist of fate.  Three years ago Meadow moved to Southern California to live with her dad and Rebecca stayed in Hawaii.  Meadow wants to continue living in So. Cal. and Rebecca is fine with it ... she will continue to live in the Aloha state.

So now it makes complete sense for Paul's mom Cheryl to become the guardian of Meadow.

As TMZ first reported ... Paul's father -- executor of the will -- has petitioned the court to make Paul's mom guardian of Meadow.   Cheryl will also be the trustee of Paul's $25 million estate -- which will eventually go outright to Meadow.

So ... Father did know best.

Where does it say he left everything to his daughter. I only saw that he left everything to his trust. Do you have a copy of the trust? That trust could have multiple beneficiaries.

Splendid for the girl, but what-about all of the deserving family which supported and encouraged Paul.

I've seen Wills leave a lot of bad blood.

Hope it's not the case here because 25M to a child is excessive/silly.

How one draws a Will up is indicative of how they left and leave the planet. Wills are often used to take shots at people after-the-fact. Meaning a person left the planet clueless and without true growth. 25 Mil to a kid suggest a lot of bad family blood and resentments.

"In sure he'd rather be here than leave anything "excessive/silly" to her. I'm sure his plan wasn't to die when she was so young."

All I'm saying is spread it around, attach educational and incentive clauses, make the family better/happier due to your own good fortune and blessed career. i.e. Master degrees equal so much, doctorates so much, enterpreneurial bids and start-ups so much.

Giving a child 25 mil means she waits until whatever age and to blow it.

How many 15 years can plan and build an education around so much cash?

Interesting to see how Meadow turns out.

Just don't think this inheritance was rational/mature.

Wills provide testimony... to how big or how small ...the person WAS that drew it up.

Often people play God with their Will, even the smaller Wills. They deliver that last eternal Facial. Or so they hope.

Not So Mad Hatter

TMZ attempted to create a controversy where there never was one. Just because you didn't understand the intention of the clause does not mean there ever was an issue. That is why these matters are the business of the family and not of the tabloids.

en Todo Momento!!

you just have to wonder how or why his handlers allowed this huge celebrity to get into such a dangerous vehicle (as reported by a car report here on tmz) and allowed this other dude, to drive him in this very dangerous vehicle? like you have this major celebrity who is known for his racing movies, and allow him to 'accidentally' die in a violent car accident, where another person was even driving, and not he himself. as much as all these events and promotions are arranged into the smallest detail in hollywood, by their handlers, you really have to wonder how or why they allowed one of their biggest stars to board this vehicle. i would fully hold his agents and managers 100% accountable for his death.

maybe this is just a case of getting your hands on a huge life insurance lump sum payment. because looking in from the outside, sure does seem that way. kill a celebrity, get a huge paycheck. sounds legit.

Testamentary guardianship clauses in the will of a testator have very little bearing on custody. I'd all things were equal amongst people of equal standing (for instance there was no surviving natural mother. Just three aunts --walkers sisters) the it would rip the scales in favor of the person named testamentary guardian. It would have no significance to a surviving natural parent.
