Nickelodeon's Drake Bell

2/12/2014 6:39 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0212-drake-bell-01Drake Bell -- a huge Nickelodeon child actor who starred in "Drake & Josh" -- has filed for bankruptcy ... TMZ has learned.

The 26-year-old actor just filed legal docs, claiming he's in the hole to the tune of $581,000.

As for the breakdown, Bell lists the value of his house at $1.575 million.  The bad news -- he's underwater, owing $1.597 mil.

Bell says he's only pulling in $2,820 a month, but his expenses total a whopping $18,771.

The fattest year Bell lists is 2012, when he made $408,000, but the next year he made an anemic $14,099.

And Bell owes a bunch of loot in taxes.

His Wikipedia write-up (which I have a feeling he wrote himself begins with this sentence:
Jared Drake Bell, better known as Drake Bell, is an American actor, musician, singer-songwriter, comedian, television personality, voice actor, record producer, and occasional television director . . . )
All that TALENT and he made $14,000 last year? There are real, honest, hard working people out there busting their balls at minimum wage making more than that. Man up buddy, I think the gravy train is over.

It's no big deal Dude. It happens to lots of people. You are young and unmarried without kids, right? If its gonna happen, let it be now. Get a non acting career and you will be just fine, normal person.

Of course Drake getting a JOB is out of the question; it's not likely anyone would notice him flipping burgers at Wendy's...

There are so many people in this country making $2,800 or less per month that are able to live within their means. So forgive me for not caring about the next in a long line of former child stars that fail miserably at being an adult.

Come on Drake... You used to do Nickelodeon, maybe you should ask for another job, I mean look how well Ariana Grande is doing? There is nothing wrong with going back to entertaining kids, at least you are out there and making money. You need to take some tips from your old on screen pal Josh, he is doing big movies now. Get back out there!

The money men and pedos use these kids up and leave them holding the bag. Hey, Nick or Disney kid. It's not the house or the cloths you bought Mom and Pop that has you in debt. It's the sht load you spent on poseurs and pedos.

Here we go again. Another D-list celebrity who spent more than they made, get bailed out, and then start spending all over again. So entitled he felt the need to not pay taxes.

So he charges people for meet and greets (in cash), does several voice acting roles, does a few VA roles for a couple of games, does a couple of tv sucky movie, is scheduled to do a few more this year, as been paid to make guest appearances (probably in cash), and people are really supposed to believe he only made $14,099 in 2013? The amount of money he charged for autographs around comiccon alone is way more than that. He better be careful because if I were the IRS I'd be suspicious too.

Two options ... go in the military and get some onthejob training and a free college degree ... get a student loan and go to college and get a college degree. Then go get a real job and earn some $$. You've learned a lesson about money management .... move on.
