Jimmy Fallon

NBC Threatens Celebs ...

It's Fallon or the Highway

NBC
is coming down like a hammer on celebs who want to get on Jimmy Fallon's show ... if they dare do a show on CBS or ABC ... they can forget about "The Tonight Show."

Sources connected to CBS, NBC and ABC tell TMZ ... the Peacock network believes Jimmy Fallon's ratings success gives them extreme bargaining power.  They put the word out to celebs, agents and publicists ... if they want to be on Fallon they can't appear on ANY other network ... and not just shows that go head-to-head with Jimmy, but morning shows as well.

We're told NBC is saying the stars who go on Fallon are also allowed to appear on "Today," "Dateline" and any similar shows they air, but that's it.

A GMA source tells TMZ ... they've already gotten fallout from people they were trying to book.

Fallon is dominating late night .... crushing Jimmy Kimmel by bringing in more than twice the number of viewers.

Hot Mom ...

or HOT MESS?!

Your mom may have been embarrassing, but could you imagine one of these moms dropping you off at school?! Pam Anderson, for example ...

From Fox 411: "Pammy is really good about attending her boys' sporting events, but she doesn't exactly fit in with the other soccer moms."

WTF ??? Jimmy's great on his own, why does NBC feel the need to basically threaten celebs..... NBC BRASS could end up derailing Fallon's career.... these are the same jerks that created FIASCO on the TODAY show which I will NEVER watch.... FK I love JF but I wouldnt go on the show just because of these executive JERKS

Rigging the game much? Gee, I don't remember Carson having to do that. Maybe NBC should be more concerned with fixing that piece of crap they call the NBCNews website. OMG, they completely ruined it. Looks like they are trying to ruin Fallon, too. Don't they trust in their own talent. Shameful!

Yes, but this story left out one important thing ...... since Fallon's first night 3 weeks ago, his ratings have steadily been going down ... and Jimmy Kimmel's have been going up. THAT's why NBC is desperate! Google it!

Who actually watches that annoying little weasel's show? Kimmel is so much better that it's not even close.

This reminds me of the feud between Jack Paar and Ed Sullivan back in the '60...'s, when Ed had a restriction on all performers on his show. They could not appear on any other show for something like 4, 6 or 8 weeks (...can't remember which) prior to and following their appearance on Sullivan's show. Paar thew a fit because it gave Sullivan "an exclusive" with that performer AND it restricted the number of guests available to appear on "The Tonight Show". "The Tonight Show" was the top rated late-night show at that time but Sullivan's show was "the place to be seen" on Sunday night, so it was a tough call for all performers wanting to promote a new movie, Broadway show, etc. Looks like the executive staff is looking back into the archives and trying something from Sullivan's playbook. Trouble is, Ed Sullivan ended up backing down on his restriction and "losing the war", so the executive staff had better read to the end of the story before they start getting so ****y.

Well IF this is true and I hope it is not, remember that Comcast owns NBC. The bigger these companies get, the more they control these types of issues. Time to rethink the Comcast-Time Warner merger. They WILL be too big for their britches then !

Wow!!! Telling people what they can and can't do to be on a show. I could see if we lived in a communistic country. WE DON'T. So shut off Fallon and see how his ratings do then.
