Reginald Alfred Bush II (born March 2, 1985) is an American football running back for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), earned All-American honors twice, and was recognized as the top college running back. The New Orleans Saints chose him with the second overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft. Bush won a Super Bowl title with the Saints in 2010. Bush won multiple college football awards, including the 2005 Heisman Trophy, but allegations that he received improper benefits were central to a NCAA investigation of the USC football program which led to severe NCAA sanctions against USC, including a two-year postseason ban and the vacating of wins from the 2004–05 championship season. As a result, Bush voluntarily forfeited his Heisman Trophy. Bush was born in Spring Valley, California in 1985, and named for his biological father, Reginald Alfred Bush, Sr. He was a running back at Helix High School in La Mesa, California.
