Palm Beach Plane Crash Craft May Have Been Coming Apart Before Impact, NTSB States
The National Transportation Safety Board shared updates on the deadly private jet crash in Palm Beach ... and officials stated there is some indication the plane was breaking up before it hit the ground.
An NTSB spokesperson addressed the media first ... stating the jet left Austin, Texas, for North Luthera, Bahamas at 10:37 AM ET. The plane attempted to climb from 35K to 357K feet around 12:47 PM ET ... but crashed just minutes later.
The NTSB answered a few questions after making several initial comments ... including saying they're looking into the poor weather conditions -- and adding there are some clues that the plane was breaking up before it plummeted into the Cresthaven neighborhood.
As you know ... the Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach -- just miles away from Mar-a-Lago -- around 1 PM Sunday ... with video showing the plane falling out of the sky.
The investigation is underway ... though the NTSB warned during their press conference that they are still in the very early stages. They confirmed there may have been a black box onboard -- though they haven't found it yet.
Officials also stated they can't identify the people killed in the crash ... though it's unclear exactly why.
Horrifying dispatch audio revealed the flight crew was dealing with mild turbulence and ice ... adding that the team planned to climb.
Flight data shows the plane began rapidly descending ... resulting in a 32K feet per minute drop to the ground.
One female crew member yelled, "Holy f***, we're out of time" right before the craft slammed into the earth.
All 9 people aboard the craft were killed ... including the 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha.
She earned her pilot's license when she was just 17 years old ... before she graduated high school.
