New York lost a legend ... Al Trautwig, longtime voice of MSG Network, broadcaster of the Knicks and Rangers, has died at the age of 68.

"I’m sad to share the news that we lost a legendary voice in sports. But we lost a lot more than that," Trautwig's MSG colleague Alan Hahn wrote on X Monday morning.

"He was not only a friend, but a mentor and a teacher. He was, personally, one of my biggest resources of support when I moved into this career."

Legendary singer Roberta Flack has died, according to a statement by her representatives.

The R&B singer emerged into fame in the 1970s with her version of the song "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face."

Another well-known song of hers, "Killing Me Softly With His Song," was covered by the Fugees in the 1990s, with Lauryn Hill crooning on the track.

Lynne Marie Stewart, the actress best known for her roles in "American Graffiti,"  "Pee-wee’s Playhouse" and "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia," has died, TMZ has confirmed.

Bette Smith, Stewart's manager tells TMZ ... the actress died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at her sister's California home. In December, doctors found a tumor between the liver and gall bladder. Prior to the diagnosis, Stewart wrapped Ben Stiller's upcoming film "The Dink" ... as well as kept working on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

"She was the most talented and funny and most honorable person I have ever known," Smith told us of Stewart.

Alice Hirson -- a veteran TV actress with credits on a variety of hit shows in the 1980s and 1990s -- has died ... according to her son.

David Hirson told The Hollywood Reporter his mother passed away Friday at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills of natural causes.

Alice started acting professionally on film and TV and on Broadway beginning in the 1950s ... though she didn't break out in Hollywood until the early 1970s.

Liam Payne's pal Roger Nores is still wrapping his head around being cleared of manslaughter charges tied to the singer's tragic drug-fueled death -- and the main thing he wants now is an apology from Liam’s dad, Geoff.

Roger appeared on "TMZ Live" Thursday, explaining that even though Liam’s dad is the reason he faced charges, he’s holding no grudges -- BUT for that defamation lawsuit to go away, Geoff needs to show some real remorse.

Liam Payne's friend Roger Nores is off the hook in the criminal case of the One Direction singer's drug-fueled death in Argentina, TMZ has confirmed.

Prosecutors originally charged Nores with manslaughter for allegedly abandoning Liam just prior to the star plunging to his death from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aries last October, while he was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.

But, on Wednesday, the judges dropped the manslaughter charge against Nores and two hotel workers after the court ruled there was nothing the trio could have done to save Liam.

Chauncy Glover -- a local Los Angeles news anchor -- died from acute intoxication by a pair of drugs including methamphetamine ... TMZ has learned.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released a statement Wednesday determining Glover died from "acute intoxication by the combined effects of chloroethane and methamphetamine."

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, chloroethane is a colorless, flammable gas used to numb the skin before piercings and to treat sports injuries. It's unclear how Glover came into contact with it.

The death has been ruled an accident, but the full medical examiner's report won't be ready until the end of next month, the press release states.

Playboy model Ariane Bellamar died late last year at age 46 ... TMZ has learned.

Nevada's Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner tells TMZ they received a report of death for Bellamar on December 20th, 2024. The coroner did not have jurisdiction over her case, so no further details were available.

Ariane’s cause of death was a heart attack, according to a GoFundMe set up by her ex-husband, Tanner Slaught, who was raising funds to cover her funeral expenses.

Rick Buckler, the drummer for the legendary rock band The Jam, has died after a brief illness.

His death in Woking, UK was confirmed on X by his former bandmates, with Paul Weller reflecting on their journey from bedroom rehearsals to achieving more than they ever dreamed -- saying what they created still stands the test of time.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Korean police say Kim -- who was only 24 -- was found dead at her home in Seoul on Sunday, and her death is being ruled as a suicide.

The news agency says a police official stated, "We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide."

Her death was announced on her official Instagram page Monday. Paquita la del Barrio, which translates to "Paquita from the hood," was long known as a powerful figure against the machismo culture in Latin America.

The Grammy-nominated singer became infamous for songs that stood up to and defied men, such as "Rata de dos patas," which translates to "Walking rat with two feet."

Candice Bergen lost her husband this weekend ... Marshall Rose died Saturday ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Rose died at home in New York from complications with Parkinson's disease. He was surrounded by family. Rose is survived by his famous wife Candice, as well as three children and six grandchildren.

Kevyn Major Howard, best known for his portrayal as Rafterman in "Full Metal Jacket," has died, his family tells TMZ.

Kevyn died Friday in a Las Vegas hospital surrounded by friends and family -- his cause of death has yet to be determined, but he'd been hospitalized for weeks with respiratory issues, his family tells us.

Kevyn was born on Jan. 27, 1956 in Montreal, Quebec ... and with his dual citizenship moved to Los Angeles after college to pursue acting.

Gene Allen -- a rapper and actor who appeared in a few well-known flicks in the 1990s including "House Party" and "What's Love Got to Do with It?" -- has died ... TMZ has learned.

One of Gene's family members tells TMZ ... Gene, known by his nickname "Groove," passed away suddenly Wednesday at his home in Maryland. We're told this was a result of a medical emergency
