Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants need to reunite ... so says former DB Aaron Ross who tells us he'd "love" for the star receiver to return to the Big Apple.

"I would love that," Ross said of the 3x Pro Bowler ... who played his best professional football at the MetLife Stadium.

Stefon and Trevon Diggs' brother, Darez Diggs, was sentenced to two years of probation for his role in a violent elevator attack last year ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The former XFL player received the punishment in a Los Angeles courtroom on March 27 ... after he cut a deal with prosecutors and agreed to plead no contest to one felony count of grand theft from a person. As part of the pact, officials dropped the other felony robbery charge Darez had been facing.

In addition to the probation, Darez was also ordered to perform 20 hours of community labor.

Islam Makhachev is putting his lightweight title on the line at UFC 302 ... but, it's a low-risk fight according to the champ, who tells us he's an awful stylistic matchup for Dustin Poirier.

"[Dustin's] problem is his style. That's one problem the guy has. His weak point is wrestling and grappling," 32-year-old Makhachev told TMZ Sports, adding, I have the key for the easy fight. And I think if I follow the plan, I can beat him easy."
