Lionel Richie Next Shows on Hold ... After On-Stage Health Scare
Lionel Richie has postponed his next 2 concerts after he endured a health scare during his Wednesday night show and was subsequently hospitalized.
The United Center announced the "All Night Long" hitmaker has been advised by docs to take a break from the stage in order to "rest and return to full health." Therefore, his Friday show in Chicago, Illinois and Saturday concert in Columbus, Ohio are being postponed -- no makeup date announced yet.

The United Center noted that Lionel and Earth, Wind & Fire are scheduled to pick things back up on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and that Lionel is "heartbroken to postpone these two shows and cannot wait to be back performing for his fans."

Lionel Richie was rushed to a hospital after falling ill onstage Wednesday night in the middle of his concert ... TMZ has learned.
Richie cut his performance short at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota after saying he felt "dizzy" and "strange" ... so much so, he actually took a seat on one of the stage platforms while singing "Dancing on the Ceiling."
It's a high-energy moment in Lionel's setlist, and not one he'd normally sit through.
Sources connected to Richie tell us paramedics met him backstage, and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital ... but we're also told it was a precautionary measure. We're still trying to find out his current condition.

Chris Evert says she underwent surgery and will begin chemotherapy shortly after a scan showed her ovarian cancer returned ... but the tennis legend is vowing once again to kick the disease's ass.
"I have always believed in being open and honest about my health journey. This past weekend, after undergoing CT and PET scans, I learned that my ovarian cancer has returned," the 71-year-old wrote.
"I have already undergone surgery as the first step in my treatment and recovery, and will begin chemotherapy in the coming weeks."

Justene Alpert -- popular actress and author -- says she and her husband made the difficult decision to terminate her pregnancy after doctors said their unborn baby had a rare genetic disorder which made carrying the child dangerous for both mother and baby.
Justene shared her story on Instagram Tuesday ... revealing she and her husband, Mason Trueblood, were just starting to tell friends and family about the pregnancy in December when they received a call from their family doctor.
The actress, who has credits to her name like "Rescue: HI-Surf," "How I Met Your Mother," and "9-1-1," doesn't say what disease doctors found ... but she says they told her they highly recommended she terminate the pregnancy quickly ... worrying for her safety -- and making it clear the child would not make it to term.

Soap star Marcy Walker -- best known as Liza Colby on "All My Children" is in need of "serious medical care" ... this according to her former costar.
Word of Marcy's health issues first got out back in May, when her "Santa Barbara" costar, A Martinez, addressed why they were charging for their June 7 live stream.
Martinez said in an Instagram video ... "Marcy has been ill and is working hard to get well."

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Corey was arriving on a flight into LAX from Chicago on Monday afternoon when he was met by paramedics at the gate.
A source close to the former child star tells TMZ ... Corey was feeling very sick on the flight and he was checked out by a doctor who was on board. We're told the doctors think the issue might be pancreatitis or gallstones.
The Los Angeles Fire Department tells TMZ ... they responded to the airport for a patient experiencing a medical emergency. The spokeswoman says the patient, a 54 year old male, was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
