Elton John made a shocking admission over the weekend — he's lost his eyesight.

The legendary singer revealed the unfortunate news while addressing the crowd at a charity event after the Sunday premiere of the new musical, “The Devil Wears Prada” at the Dominion Theatre in London, England.

Elton wrote the composition for the play based on the popular 2006 film about a young assistant trying to survive her treacherous boss at a fashion magazine.

Alabama A&M football linebacker Medrick Burnett Jr. has passed away at 20 years old after suffering a severe head injury during a game last month.

According to local officials, he died at 5:43 PM Wednesday evening at UAB Hospital.

Burnett Jr. was involved in the collision during A&M's matchup with Alabama State on Oct. 26 -- one day before his birthday. He received treatment in the ICU ... and according to his sister, had several brain bleeds and swelling.

Alabama A&M tells TMZ Sports ... "We retract the news of the passing of Medrick Burnette Jr, that was originally advised by an immediate family member on Tuesday evening. Our staff acted accordingly to the wishes of the family member to inform the A&M community and beyond of this unfortunate occurrence."

"Upon hearing from a representative from UAB hospital this afternoon, we learned that he remains alive. We express our immediate regret for disseminating false information however, we hold complete joy in knowing that Medrick remains in stable condition."

Nev Schulman nailed his goal of running the NYC marathon just three months after breaking his neck in a near-fatal crash ... and he's opening up about it all to TMZ.

The popular cable channel -- which aired its controversial documentary "Where is Wendy Williams?" back in February -- responded to Williams' guardian Sabrina Morrissey's lawsuit attempting to get their documentary shut down back in February.

A+E says Sabrina's exceeding her authority by trying to get parts of the documentary changed and redacted ... claiming Wendy signed a talent agreement long before she was mentally incapacitated as Sabrina claims.
