Seems JuJu Watkins' coach doesn't have much worry her star player will be back to her normal self soon -- Lindsay Gottlieb tells TMZ Sports the 19-year-old is "doing great" in her rehab ... and attacking things with a laser focus.
Watkins, of course, tore her ACL on March 24 in an NCAA tournament game ... but Gottlieb told us out at LAX this week she's showing plenty of signs that she's going to be all right.
"She's doing great," the Trojans sideline manager said. "She's doing great. She's in focus mode, rehab mode."
MLB Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt Drilled In Head By Line Drive ... Forced to Leave Game
Scary scene during Wednesday's matinee matchup between the Twins and the Mets ... first base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt was drilled in the head by a line drive -- and was forced to leave the game.
It went down in the top of the seventh inning as Tyrone Taylor was up to bat. The New York centerfielder roped a 0-0 pitch foul -- right at Wendelstedt's head.

The collision was so disturbing, the Mets' first base coach immediately waved for trainers to come over. Wendelstedt appeared to be in a significant amount of pain.
Brian Austin Green Reveals He Had Surgery for a Perforated Appendix
Brian Austin Green has more on his plate than his beef with Machine Gun Kelly ... the actor is currently recovering after undergoing surgery for a perforated appendix.
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star revealed on Instagram Monday he was hospitalized after experiencing stomach pain. Turns out he got checked out just in time -- after visiting several emergency rooms, he learned his appendix was "not quite burst, but just before."
Brian says he received immediate care at Providence Cedars-Sinai in the L.A. area and had high praise for the hospital, noting ... "The aftercare was phenomenal. I mean, when I tell you every single person that was there was incredibly kind and loving and supportive and helpful, I mean it."

The Menendez family is blaming the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for the hospitalization of Terry Baralt -- Erik and Lyle's aunt ... claiming the graphic crime scene photos they were shown did a number on her health.
In a press release from the Justice for Erik and Lyle Coalition -- a collective of family members fighting for the brothers' release -- the group confirmed our story that Baralt had been found unresponsive in her hotel room.
The coalition says the D.A.'s office didn't give the family a heads up that they would be presenting photos of the crime scene at Friday's resentencing hearing ... a violation of Marsy's Law, a law designed to protect the victims of crimes.

Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre has been released from a hospital almost a week after claiming she only had four days to live after her car was struck in a what she described as a brutal crash with a school bus.
Guess Giuffre’s prediction was off -- 'cause six days after the accident, she was escorted out of view of waiting media on Monday from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, according to the West Australian.
Virginia's current condition isn't clear yet ... but to be given the green light to go home surely means she's on the mend.

"He is in good spirits and expects a full recovery."
An ATL fan appeared to suffer an ACL injury on Tuesday night ... going down with what seemed like a bad knee ailment during a challenge at the Hawks game.
The painful scene took place amid an intermission at the Hawks vs. Trail Blazers tilt at State Farm Arena ... when an Atlanta-backer was picked to participate in a basketball version of Tic-Tac-Toe.
The guy -- wearing a Hawks sweatshirt -- was supposed to hit a few layups before his opponent ... and score a Tic-Tac-Toe win in the process.
