Alice Hirson -- a veteran TV actress with credits on a variety of hit shows in the 1980s and 1990s -- has died ... according to her son.
David Hirson told The Hollywood Reporter his mother passed away Friday at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills of natural causes.
Alice started acting professionally on film and TV and on Broadway beginning in the 1950s ... though she didn't break out in Hollywood until the early 1970s.

Liam Payne's friend Roger Nores is off the hook in the criminal case of the One Direction singer's drug-fueled death in Argentina, TMZ has confirmed.
Prosecutors originally charged Nores with manslaughter for allegedly abandoning Liam just prior to the star plunging to his death from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aries last October, while he was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.
But, on Wednesday, the judges dropped the manslaughter charge against Nores and two hotel workers after the court ruled there was nothing the trio could have done to save Liam.

Chauncy Glover -- a local Los Angeles news anchor -- died from acute intoxication by a pair of drugs including methamphetamine ... TMZ has learned.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released a statement Wednesday determining Glover died from "acute intoxication by the combined effects of chloroethane and methamphetamine."
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, chloroethane is a colorless, flammable gas used to numb the skin before piercings and to treat sports injuries. It's unclear how Glover came into contact with it.
The death has been ruled an accident, but the full medical examiner's report won't be ready until the end of next month, the press release states.
