Former hockey pro Janne Puhakka -- Finland's first openly gay player -- was found shot to death on Sunday ... and police believe his partner was behind the killing.

Puhakka was only 29.

According to a report out of Finland, Janne was found in his Henttaa Espoo home ... where he lived with his partner, 66-year-old veterinarian Rolf Nordmo.

A man who allegedly possessed multiple illegal weapons was arrested about a quarter of a mile from Donald Trump's Coachella rally.

According to the Riverside County sheriff’s office, 49-year-old Vem Miller was stopped at a checkpoint Saturday night not far from Trump's Coachella Valley rally.

Cops claim Miller was illegally in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine. They say they took him into custody without incident.

Authorities have released video footage capturing the moment an officer fatally shoots a narcotics suspect at a car dealership near Naval Base San Diego in California.

Footage from body cam shows Detective Douglas Akers from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office opening fire on suspect Gene Stewart, who had fired at the officer first from inside a parked tow truck, shattering the passenger-side window glass.

In the footage, Akers returns fire into the window. Stewart then emerges from the truck, hunched over, clutching his gun to his chest.

The fatal shooting of a Kentucky judge by a sheriff was apparently captured on security video -- and the moments leading up to the alleged cold-blooded murder were played in open court this week.

Justice Kevin Mullins was seated at his desk inside his chambers in the Letcher County Courthouse in Whitesburg, KY, on September 19, when Sheriff Shawn "Mickey" Stines walks inside and appears to pull out a gun and shoot him multiple times, killing the judge.

Stines surrendered to authorities and was charged with Mullins' slaying. Investigators uncovered a possible motive, revealing Stines allegedly found his daughter's phone number on Mullins' phone and called it -- and a detective later confirmed the sheriff's daughter had been called from the judge’s phone before this incident.

After a tremendous amount of controversy, Alec Baldwin's film "Rust" is finally getting its moment in the spotlight -- it's set to premiere next month at Poland’s EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Cinematography Film Festival.

Three years after the tragic accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins -- a bullet fired from a loaded prop gun killed her on set -- "Rust" will hit the big screen in the city of Toruń. The event will also feature a special panel to honor her life.

Director Joel Souza, who was hurt in the 2021 set accident, will helm the panel. Joining him will be cinematographer Bianca Cline, who stepped in to finish the film, and Stephen Lighthill, one of Halyna's film school mentors.

2:25 PM PT -- According to a Worcester Police Department update Wednesday night, the suspect who shot himself in traffic was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Officers were responding to an earlier shooting near the interstate, in which an unidentified victim later died. A Massachusetts State Trooper then located the suspected shooter, who fired at the trooper and fled on foot into traffic. Police say the suspect tried to carjack motorists on the highway before he was fired upon by officers -- leading to the man shooting himself about an hour after the incident began.

Police said there was no further danger to the public.

A Massachusetts highway turned into a terrifying scene for commuters when a man with a gun sparked heavy police presence and prompted road closures ... and TMZ has a look at the chaos.

Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... Interstate 190 was closed just north of Worcester, Mass. Wednesday afternoon after a man with a gun took to the highway on foot ... dipping and diving in between cars in standstill traffic, attempting to avoid capture.

Mass. State Police spokesman Brandon Doherty told TMZ ... troopers and Worcester police responded to a report of a man with a gun around 3:40 PM local time ... and a shooting occurred shortly thereafter.
