Jimmy Fallon

NBC Threatens Celebs ...

It's Fallon or the Highway

NBC
is coming down like a hammer on celebs who want to get on Jimmy Fallon's show ... if they dare do a show on CBS or ABC ... they can forget about "The Tonight Show."

Sources connected to CBS, NBC and ABC tell TMZ ... the Peacock network believes Jimmy Fallon's ratings success gives them extreme bargaining power.  They put the word out to celebs, agents and publicists ... if they want to be on Fallon they can't appear on ANY other network ... and not just shows that go head-to-head with Jimmy, but morning shows as well.

We're told NBC is saying the stars who go on Fallon are also allowed to appear on "Today," "Dateline" and any similar shows they air, but that's it.

A GMA source tells TMZ ... they've already gotten fallout from people they were trying to book.

Fallon is dominating late night .... crushing Jimmy Kimmel by bringing in more than twice the number of viewers.

Hot Mom ...

or HOT MESS?!

Your mom may have been embarrassing, but could you imagine one of these moms dropping you off at school?! Pam Anderson, for example ...

From Fox 411: "Pammy is really good about attending her boys' sporting events, but she doesn't exactly fit in with the other soccer moms."

The Man They Call Louis

Such a crock. Whatever NBC, there's a ton of celebs that do have a choice of which shows THEY want to do. What a punk move. O.k. The Tonight show is back in New York...we get it.

Comcast owns NBC -- this is nothing. Comcast blocked anyone in the U.S. who does not have cable from being able to watch footage of the Olympics from any outlet on the planet.

The celebrities who will feel the most pressure will be anyone doing anything for NBC or Universal, and when the Time Warner merger goes through then anyone with any book, music, movie, etc. through that forum also will basically risk their careers if they go on a show on ABC or CBS or any other channel.

Something is not right here, All of us at my office love Jimmy Kimmel. He's very real. Fallon always reminds us of what a great gift he is to all of us. Fallon loves to talk about Fallon. According to all of the new reports, Kimmel is gainning and will most likely take the lead.

I guess NBC wants to kill The Tonight Show. Telling celebrities they cannot appear on shows by any other network. They are not only going to kill Fallon, they are going to kill themselves.
I stopped watching the Today show years ago, I have never been a huge fan of Dateline, but do watch it occasionally. Now that Leno is gone, late night isn't worth watching. Jimmy Fallon is a nice guy, but way to juvenile for my taste. as for other NBC shows, the majority of them are not worth watching. The Biggest Loser is about the only show I regularly watch when it is on.

That will only work if big names allow it to happen. If everyone didn't abide buy the rules than NBC would have lesser names on their shows and would have to stop bullying. I think the stars have more control than the network does

This isn't Fallon's fault...it's Lorne Michaels, the Producer...he will ruin the tonight show as he has ruined Saturday Night Live. The guy's ego is the worst in the industry. I feel bad for Jimmy, just let him do his thing and keep your hands off the show.

The stars don't have more control. If they want to be in movies by Universal, or have Comcast run anything they appear in, they'll comply. This will be worse when Time Warner is part of the company, with all Warner music and television and books and movies.

The solution to this is easy. Celebrities should boycott Fallon's show. Appear only on his competition. Their ratings will go up, Fallon's will go down. And Fallon's producers will be begging celebrities to appear.

Wellllll ! As Jack would say. As a dyed in the wool night show follower since year one, it will be interesting to see the fallout of this. Fallon has yet to earn his place on this hour. I find this the biggest selfi yet.
