Lil Wayne High Times Fired Up ... We Had a Deal and He Came Up Short

7/24/2016 11:06 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0724-lil-wayne-high-times-TMZ-01Lil Wayne's got a problem keeping time and the good folks at High Times are pissed off about it ... after he abruptly ended a pot festival concert.

A rep for High Times tells us they have, "no idea why Lil Wayne suddenly ended his performance after just four songs when he was contractually committed to performing for an hour for the fans."

The rep adds all the other acts on the bill -- including B.o.B. -- performed as expected and the show was going well until Weezy got sour. As we reported ... Wayne started ranting he'd never do the High Times gig again. It's unclear who he was was talking to at the time.

High Times says it's baffled and still waiting for some explanation from Wayne's team.

We've also reached out to his camp, but no word back.

Calvin Harris Poses with Kim K in Vegas ... aka 'Screw You, Taylor!'

7/24/2016 9:53 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0724-french-montana-kim-kardashian-jennifer-lopez-calvin-harris-birthday-INSTAGRAM-01Well, ain't this the icing on the cake for Taylor Swift -- 2 of her biggest enemies (currently) coming together in one photo ... and Calvin Harris' smirk says it all.

So, Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 47th birthday last night at Caesar's Palace in Vegas ... and Kim Kardashian was there to help present her cake. Calvin was there partying, and he had to know how this pose would go over with Swift.

Calvin and Kim reportedly chatted during the party -- no doubt Taylor's name came up once or twice on the heels of her "Famous" feud with Kanye ... and her "This Is What You Came For" feud with her ex.

French Montana, Iggy Azalea and Cristiano Ronaldo were also there -- but no sign of John Mayer, Jake Gylenhaal or Harry Styles ... 'cause that would've been awesome.

Lil Wayne Bad Trip at High Times Concert ... I'll NEVER Do This Again!

7/24/2016 7:28 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lil Wayne got so pissed during his High Times performance ... he vowed to never return to the event, before storming off stage.

Wayne was the headliner Saturday night at the Cannabis Concentrates Cup show in Southern Cali -- and seemed to be feeling the crowd at first.

But watch the video, after just a couple songs ... he went into a rant that, at first, just seemed like he was freestylin'. He topped it off with ... "Don't you ever, ever, ever ask me to do this s*** again!"

It's unclear what set him off, but concertgoers say Weezy bolted after just 3 songs.

Paul Wall My New Pup's Getting Grillz

7/24/2016 12:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0722-main-paul-wall-instagram-01Paul Wall's next trip to the jewelry store won't be for himself ... it'll be for his brand new English bulldog puppy.

Paul tells TMZ he jumped at the opportunity to adopt the 12-week-old pooch when his friend's dog had a litter. He says his kids, Noelle and William, had been pestering him for a dog, and he really wanted an English bulldog.

The rapper says the kids named the little guy, Champ. And who knew this was a thing ... but Paul says once the pup's teeth grow in, he's going to have him fitted for custom grillz.

Champ's already putting in work, modeling swag from Paul's companies.

Damn cute spokesman!

Shaq Most Dominant DJ Ever Spins 1&2's At HUGE EDM Festival

7/23/2016 12:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Steve Aoki, David Guetta, Afrojack and ... Shaq?

The Diesel might just be on that list of world-famous and successful DJs ... after having rocked the crowd at one of the biggest EDM festivals in the entire world.

Shaq took the stage early Friday at Tomorrowland ... a 3-day EDM bonanza in Belgium that attracts over 180,000 crazily dressed (probably unsober) partygoers a year.

We're told Shaq's set lasted about an hour ... and while his primary wheelhouse is hip-hop ... he mainly stayed true to the EDM format most of the crowd wanted to hallucinate to.

Check out the video ... it's clear the big man was totally into it, and we already know he takes his reputation as a DJ very seriously, so it's no wonder he killed it.

Careful with all that jumping, big fella .... we doubt those knees are playoff-ready at this point.

'Ghostbusters' Theme School Teachers Ain't Afraid to Rock ... Score Record Deal

7/23/2016 12:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

The three elementary school teachers who reworked the "Ghostbusters" theme for the new movie are about to get some green dumped on them, but it's not slime.

No Small Children -- drummer Nicola Berlinsky, singer Joanie Pimentel and her sister/guitarist Lisa -- just scored a deal with RCA for their punk rock overhaul, which plays during the film credits.

It's an amazing story ... the 3 decided to start NSC 4 years ago during recess at their North Hollywood school. Last Halloween, they dressed up as Ghostbusters and played their version of the theme song during a club gig. They decided to record it and got it to the film's composer, Teddy Shapiro, whose kid happens to be a student at their 9 to 5.

NSC didn't think they had a shot after hearing big-name musicians were also up for the gig, but got the call ... GHOSTBUSTERS!

Check out the video ... the trio's going places, and hiring!!! But don't worry kids, they'll be back with a syllabus in the fall.

Beyonce Pulls Race Card in 'Lemonade' Suit

7/22/2016 4:53 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0722-beyonce-lemonade-TIDAL-01Beyonce's adamant she didn't rip off "Lemonade" from a film about a depressed white guy, and she says the proof is right there in her visual album ... about a proud black woman.

Beyonce just filed docs which call Matthew Fulks' lawsuit bogus ... because "Lemonade" and his 2014 short film "Palinoia" have completely different narratives.

In the docs obtained by TMZ, she says the differences couldn't be clearer -- "Lemonade" portrays "an African-American woman who progresses through stages of suspicion, denial, anger and, ultimately, reconciliation in her relationship."

On the other hand, she says "Palinoia" is about a "white man who is distressed in the wake of a failed relationship."

We broke the story ... Fulks sued Bey and her record label, saying much of her "Lemonade" trailer copied chunks of his film.

Ciara Future's Trash Talk Cost Me $500k

7/22/2016 3:10 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0722-future-ciara-tmz-05Ciara got screwed out of half a million bucks thanks to Future's trash talking ... so claims the singer.

Ciara says her baby daddy's barrage of tweets and interviews disparaging her scared away an international cosmetics company she thinks would have paid her $500k ... this according to new legal docs obtained by TMZ.

You'll recall ... Ciara slapped Future with a defamation lawsuit back in February after he blasted her on social media with tweets like, "This bitch got control problems ... I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future ... the f***ery for 15k a month."

Ciara says all that trash talk has undermined her "positive reputation" and sullied her as "controlling, dishonest, malicious, unreasonable, evil, conniving" and bad parent which made the cosmetic co. run for the hills.

Drake Forks Out Thousands for Overtime Concert

7/22/2016 12:41 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Drake got slapped with a hefty fine for his Dallas concert going way past the allowed time -- 'cause, as they say ... money ain't a thang.

Drake performed at American Airlines Center Thursday night -- he got a late start -- and when the clock struck midnight, he was officially in overtime. TMZ has learned the arena fined him $6,500 for every 15 minutes he played past 12.

Drizzy even told the crowd he was going over, and he didn't care if he had to pay.

He ended up performing until 12:35, so the show's gonna cost Drake an extra $13k.

You're welcome, Big D.

Another happy ending for "Game of Thrones" fans ... Hodor is alive and turns out he is to Comic-Con what Calvin Harris is to Las Vegas.

Hodor, whose real name is Kristian Nairn, popped up inside the DJ booth at the Nylon After-Con party Thursday night in San Diego and the crowd was feeling it.

If fans want to check him out in the future, Kristian goes by his real name when he's spinning. Check out the vid -- we suggest a new handle ... DJ Hodrop!

"Game of Thrones" fans get it.

Bobby Brown Belts Out 'My Girl' To Celebrate New Baby

7/22/2016 8:25 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Bobby Brown doesn't sit around hospital rooms anymore when he has a baby -- instead he celebrates by singing with random bands in Bev Hills ... and it's actually pretty awesome.

We got this video of Bobby doing "My Girl" Thursday night at Caffe Roma ... shortly after his wife, Alicia, gave birth to their third child ... a 10 pound baby girl.

Witnesses tell us Bobby said he was driving around town, taking a breather after the birth. When he heard the band jamming, he decided to stop and join 'em.

This is Bobby's 7th kid -- but watch the performance. He's celebrating like it's his first.

Donald Trump 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' ... Really?

7/22/2016 7:21 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Donald Trump's speech was all fire and brimstone ... loud and confident, and that made the choice of exit music more than a little perplexing.

Trump finished big Thursday night at the RNC, and as he took his bows, "You Can't Always Get What You Want" was pumped through the arena.

It's a bizarre message after a candidate lays out his platform. But it may not be a message at all. One high-level campaign source tells TMZ, it was "just a song on the playlist."

At least it wasn't "Sympathy for the Devil."
