Lil Wayne Dwarfs Birdman's Cash Money Party With LeBron's Assist!!!

2/19/2017 10:04 AM PST
Exclusive Details

Lil Wayne can't lose when he's got LeBron James on his team -- even when he's squaring off with Birdman.

Wayne got a bunch of Cash Money artists --technically Birdman's artists -- to flock to his NBA All-Star weekend shindig Saturday in New Orleans to celebrate Cash Money Records' 20th anniversary ... leaving Birdman's party relatively empty.

Weezy even reunited with Juvenille, and Turk for a Hot Boys performance ... intro'd by LeBron.

0219-lebron-21-savage-lil-wayne-juvenile-INSTAGRAM-04Other celeb guests included DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, 21 Savage and (almost) Future -- who got bounced for bringing more than 30 people to the joint when it was already at full capacity.

As we reported ... Wayne and Birdman had planned separate parties in NOLA this weekend, with no plans to cross paths.

Looks like Wayne walked away with a W here. The war continues ...

David Cassidy Appears Drunk In Concert ... Slurs, Falls, Forgets

2/19/2017 8:11 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

David Cassidy seems to have fallen off the wagon -- and almost off the stage -- in what appears to be a drunken performance this weekend.

The former teen idol was playing a gig in Agoura (near L.A.) Saturday night, where he looked incredibly intoxicated throughout the show ... ultimately leading to a hard fall over a monitor.

David slurs through various songs and and takes long pauses, often forgetting lyrics. He said on stage that Sunday night is his final concert ever due to health reasons ... and he's retiring.

David has been to rehab several times and has struggled with alcoholism.

We've reached out to Cassidy's rep ... so far, no word back.

Selena Gomez Sick of Being Defined by Boyfriends

2/19/2017 12:57 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

0217-the-weeknd-selena-gomez-justin-bieber-TMZ-01Selena Gomez thinks Justin Bieber needs to move on from his obsession with her, and she's vowing never to get lost in the shadow of another relationship ... so say people close to her.

We're told Selena isn't angry at Justin for attacking her new BF, The Weeknd ... we're told she has no connection anymore with her ex.

That said, our Selena sources say she's fed up with everyone on social media trying to define her by the guy she's dating. She's proud of her accomplishments as a singer, and thinks every time she hooks up with someone people ignore her as an artist, a TV producer for a new show, the face of Coach and the most followed person on Instagram.

Selena's already taken steps to keep her identity separate from her boyfriends. She didn't attend last week's Grammys with The Weeknd and is very conscious when she's with him to present herself as her own person.

Speaking of The Weeknd, we're told he's laughing at reports his new song, "Some Way," is a rant against Bieber, taunting him with the relationship with his ex. We're told the song was written before he started dating Selena, so the stories are ridiculous.

Bono Thanks Mike Pence For AIDS Relief Support

2/19/2017 7:08 AM PST

0219-mike-pence-meets-bono-u2-TWITTER-01Bono gave kudos to Vice President Mike Pence for his supporting a cause close to the singer's heart ... AIDS relief.

The Veep was in Germany Saturday talking about global threats and met up with Bono, who thanked him for supporting the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS ... initiated by George W Bush.

Bono told Pence ... "Twice on the House floor you defended that. That’s how we know you."

The U2 star has been a leading activist in AIDS relief for years now. Seems like he has a new ally in the White House.

Pence famously once advocated funding conversion therapy.

Joe Jonas Surprising Kid Cancer Patients With DNCE-THON

2/17/2017 5:01 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

0217_DNCE_backstage_tmz_wmJoe Jonas and his DNCE mates are about to bust into a dance marathon for kids fighting cancer ... and turn the night into a full concert.

We got a pic of Joe and the band backstage Friday evening at THON ... the annual no sleep, no sit, 46 hour dance marathon on the Penn State campus. The event raises millions for cancer research, and this year organizers planned the DNCE surprise.

We're told Joe and co. plan to coolly walk out while the kids are doing a lip-synch battle to "Cake By The Ocean" -- and then launch into a 45 minute set.

Great gig for DNCE and a great cause.

update_graphic_red_barSurprise went off without a hitch! Check the moves on that Nittany Lion.

2 Chainz & Allen Iverson Riders Top-Shelf Booze is Only Way We Roll!!

2/17/2017 1:06 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

0217-2-chainz-allen-iverson-TMZ-012 Chainz and Allen Iverson have lavish taste buds ... ESPECIALLY when it comes to their booze.

We got a hold of the rapper and the NBA legend's rider for the bash they're hosting at Republic in New Orleans for NBA All-Star weekend, and the duo is damn clear about 1 thing -- ballers only chug, mix and spray the best liquor.

2 Chainz demands 4 bottles of Ace of Spades, 3 bottles of Dom Perignon and 3 bottles of Ciroc, different flavors. BTW, his Dom MUST have the glow-in-the-dark label. Big boy toys.

AI is less picky -- he wants 3 bottles of vodka, and only says nothing cheap ... "has to be top-shelf." He does, however, specify 6 bottles of Moet Rosé champagne, 3 bottles of Hennessy and Patron, 12 Coronas and a 12-pack of Fiji water. Oh yeah, 10 hand towels too.

Scratch that ... Allen's pretty damn picky.

Tickets for the event by Headliner Market Group will run you anywhere from $40 to $2,200 ... if you really wanna show out.

Drake Hold Up, London ... I Still Have Some Surprises for You!

2/17/2017 8:49 AM PST

0217-drake-london-nightclub-party-photos-launchDrake dropped a huge surprise on a relatively small group of people Thursday night in London when he put in some work ... on what was supposed to be his day off.

Drake's been over there for a bunch of shows -- including a 2 night sold-out run at the 20k capacity O2 Arena. Thursday night though he rolled up to XOYO club, which only holds 800, and hopped onstage. The only people on the bill were Toronto rapper Smoke Dawg and UK rhymer Nafe Smallz ... so ticket holders got a sweet deal!

Drizzy kept his rager going later at Paper nightclub. He also grabbed the mic there and dropped about $30k on vodka and Dom for his crew.

Champagne Papi comin' thru!

Justin Timberlake Weighs in On President Trump

2/17/2017 8:31 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Justin Timberlake rarely makes political commentary, but he made an exception with our camera guy Thursday night ... when we brought up President Trump.

He was leaving ArcLight in Hollywood when we asked about Trump's bombastic Thursday news conference where he attacked the media on all sorts of fronts.

Justin's response was brief, but he said a lot.

Not that it's entirely shocking -- he and Jessica Biel hosted an HRC fundraiser last year. Sorry, JT ... no refunds.

Beyonce I'm Shopping for Three Now

2/17/2017 7:40 AM PST

0217-beyonce-baby-bump-FFN-01Beyonce's done hiding -- she took the twins out for their first Bev Hills shopping trip.

After several months, we think, of keeping her pregnancy under wraps, Bey went out Thursday in all her pregnant glory for a shopping trip to Barneys New York.

As we first reported, she's still planning to play Coachella in April, but still NOT revealing how many months along she is. We can all debate again with these pics. We're guessing the black shirt's by design ... to keep us guessing.

Beyonce wasn't lugging any shopping bags. She's got assistants and bodyguards for that. Besides, the queen's carrying enough these days.

Justin Bieber Assault Caught on Camera ... Kinda

2/17/2017 1:00 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Justin Bieber went from funny to fuming in a hot second Saturday morning ... so says the guy who claims he got clocked.

TMZ broke the story ... Justin's a suspect in an alleged battery that went down at a pre-Grammy party at Serafina restaurant in L.A., after Dean Parker fired up his camera and recorded Justin fake fighting with Kyle Massey.

The video shows a playful Justin who turns angry after someone screams for people to stop shooting video. Parker says Justin lunged for his camera, striking him in the face ... although you don't see the strike on the video. Cops told us it was reported as a headbutt.

It's interesting ... we got this pic of Justin's freshly cut hand as he left the restaurant.

0216-justin-beiber-leaving-serafina-blood-hand-AKMGSI-02Parker does not want Justin prosecuted, although he would like to go a few rounds with him as an undercard in the Soulja Boy/Chris Brown boxing match. Don't do it, Biebs ... Parker's 6'5".

Lil Wayne & Birdman Toasting Cash Money in NOLA ... Separately, Of Course

2/17/2017 12:30 AM PST
Exclusive Details

0216-lil-wayne-birdman-tmz-02Lil Wayne and Birdman will both be in New Orleans, just minutes away from each other as they both toast Cash Money Records -- but there's almost ZERO chance they'll cross paths.

Weezy and Birdman will be in NOLA -- where it's also NBA All-Star Weekend -- to celebrate Cash Money's 20th anniversary. Lil Wayne will be at Masquerade Nightclub, while Birdman's hitting up several venues that are mere blocks away ... including the House of Blues.

Our Cash Money sources say they'll both be showing love for their label, but Wayne's done way too much trash-talking to share a stage with Birdman.

Wayne will hook up with the Hot Boys though -- performing with Mannie Fresh, Turk and Juvenile. We're told Mannie plans to pull double duty, and rendezvous with Birdman too at a different club.

Drama ... like any family reunion.

Justin Bieber Faked Illness to Skip Depo Lawyers Say Chugging Videos Prove It

2/16/2017 6:02 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

0216-justin-bieber-tmz-01Justin Bieber got busted calling in sick for a deposition ... or so claim the lawyers who say they have proof he stood them up due to a night of heavy partying.

The attorneys are repping a songwriter who claims Bieber jacked a sample for "Sorry" -- and had scheduled a Feb 8 depo with Justin. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, Justin's team informed the lawyers just hours beforehand ... he wouldn't be able to because he was "ill."

Mind you, the lawyers say they'd flown to L.A. from Nashville to make it easier for Justin.

They got pissed when they found YouTube videos of JB chugging beers at Bootsy Bellows in the early morning hours of the very day he was supposed to be at the depo. The videos, apparently posted by Beliebers, show Justin drinking at a house party as well as the nightclub.

In docs, they say Justin rubbed their noses in it by posting Instagram pics drinking with friends ... hours after he played hooky.

They're willing to let him make it up, but now they want the court to force Justin to fly to Nashville in early March, and do the depo on their turf.

We reached out to Justin's team ... no word back.

Grammys Secret Committee Torpedoes Black Artists Village People Singer Claims

2/16/2017 3:03 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

0216-victor-willis-beyonce-letter-launch-02update_graphic_red_bar4:00 PM PT -- The Recording Academy tells us it has no "secret committees," and adds there's plenty of info regarding the Nominations Review Committees (to which our post refers) on its website.

A spokesperson says members of the Review Committee "are not disclosed to ensure fairness and neutrality." This prevents them from being lobbied.update_grey_gray_barA secret committee for the Grammys is in place to undermine the rank-and-file voters if they choose to give plum awards to black artists like Beyonce ... so claims the original lead singer of Village People.

Victor Willis sent a scathing letter to the President of the Recording Academy, demanding he "come clean" over the existence of a clandestine group that was supposedly formed after Lionel Richie beat Bruce Springsteen for the 1985 Album of the Year.

According to Willis, the committee's purpose is to "override the decision of Grammy voters in the event the select committee does not like who the Grammy voter has chosen" for the 4 top awards.

He goes on to strongly suggest a racial element, saying, "The question is how many African Americans are on that committee?" He says in the letter, "If certain people at the Grammys don't like who the voters have chosen, a Grammy committee will simply override the voters and subsequently select who they think should win. Like Adele, maybe?"

We did some research, and it does appear there is a secret committee, but from what we can gather, the committee is designed to knock out embarrassing nominations -- like, say, Milli Vanilli. However, once the nominations are locked, the voters have the final say ... at least that's what we've found.
